I know of his exploits mostly because he lives about 2 miles down the road from me.

From his Wikipedia entry: "Williams graduated from Cal Poly Pomona in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and a minor in Mathematics. He has stated that, if he wasn't a successful bowler, he would "probably be either a teacher or working for NASA."[26]

He is married to Paige Pennington. The couple reside in Ocala, FL, and adopted a daughter in 2007. In addition to being a champion in both bowling and horseshoes, Williams has a three-handicap in golf."
This.

And MJs return was a nice touch. Ty

Great show, guys. Thanks.

Nice to hear MJ back. Sounded like MJ really misses being on the show too. Maybe it's time to come out of that early retirement?

Adam, please start the show with the "rap" again. So good. And, now, I miss it.

Keep up the good work. You have no idea how much enjoyment I get out of listening to the show while driving in my ****ty commute. Thank you!

Oh, and Mike.......AC/DC comes out with their new album on 12/02. I trust the show will have at least one of their new tunes in the buffer music that week.

Insta snappity snap call dinner with Colman over dinner with Hellmuth. I'm putting the o/u on the length of time I could spend 1-1 with PH at <10 minutes.

Colman strikes me as a young thoughtful man confronting the contradictions and inconsistencies of life head on. It's not always comfortable to listen to, it's not likely the person you would choose as the spokesman for the game, and I'm not sure an older Dan Colman will necessarily articulate things in the same way, or even feel the need to say anything at all, but still, I'll take him any day over Helmuth.

Liv_B's recent comments on Twitter about poker ambassadors were spot on imo.

Yeah, I'd have preferred to have heard from a guest who actually watched all the final table tbh. Great to have MJ back though - as good as some of the co-hosts have done MJ and Adam are the pokercast

I enjoyed listening to Salsberg. He makes a great podcast guest and gives honest answers and an insight about the world of poker.

oh yeah and for the love of god please...

When discussing hands make sure you have the hand written down in front of you. And read it
This is a pet peeve of mine for months now. You guys never get it right.
Amount of blinds wrong, action wrong etc etc. he 3bet, no he 4bet, got shoved on, got 4 to 1, bad call.

Great show other than for Salsberg's articulate analysis "ya know"

I think he managed to fit that phrase into one sentence 12 times "ya know"

Although thinking about it, it was that ridiculous it was probably a prop bet or something...

Great show

Read this thread one evening when I was 3/4 through the ME round table and hadn't noticed the "ya know" thing. I certainly noticed it in the last 1/4 though. Thanks a lot guys!

I thought the analysis was good, the hands and points discussed were the good ones and I think your idea of the Monday recap show on a Tuesday is genius. It could be done on a budget of virtually zero and would be extremely useful to viewing numbers and viewing pleasure.

Great work guys, keep it up

Agreed. I literally said out loud, "great F-ing idea" in the car when I heard this. Sort of like the "Previously on Mad Men..." thing that precedes an episode, but extended. I don't think you'll lose a significant number of viewers from the 9-to-3 playdown day — the diehards will watch everything, but the casual fans (or people who have to get up early the next day) will want to catch up.

As for the concern that viewers wouldn't get the "idiot from Northern Europe" references, the Canadian fans missed this since you didn't get to see the first-day coverage. Early on Monday's portion, during the desk segments, they showed a clip of Hellmuth saying his famous phrase. So even if our Northern European viewers didn't know the joke, they would have been caught up.

Really enjoyed the show the week, especially all of the strategy talk with MS.

Cool show bro.

Ya know, it was good to hear MJ and his thoughts. It was, ya know, interesting to hear Matt's comments on the hands that, ya know, he didn't see or always have an accurate recap of ya know.

It was, um, a surprisingly long show and uh I wonder how much time editings of ums, ahs, and ya know's could have saved from the show's total run time, ya know?
