is this the Matthew Hilger who wrote Internet Texas Holdem?

Thanks Twhelan () and the rest of you guys, I had no idea James Brown was going to be brought up... I definitely thought about that but I can only work with the drops I made beforehand.
Apologies if some of the drops are super obscure references, I realize not everyone has watched all the random poker vids on youtube that I have, but I think we can all agree Patrick Antonius is pretttty funny.

I also was surprised at Norm's reaction to the jaffey incident. At first I thought he was kidding and it seems to me that Adam and Terrence thought that too. But it went on too long and i suddenly realised he was probably serious. Seems to me that the whole deception was hilarious and "screwing with the information process" is a made up label you need when you can't think of anything they have actually done wrong except embarrass you

Listen to the podcast, it's somewhere in every show.

The sound barrier is really quite hard to break, and Concorde did make a lot of difference (2.5 hours vs 6 hours or so for London-NYC).

Also, planes last a lot longer than cars -- the Boeing 747 was introduced in the early 70s and it's still going strong. They have no doubt improved the motors a lot and the aerodynamics a bit in the meantime, but that's all low percentage points improvements.
Plus his counter example was cars, which haven't got any faster either

I'm not sure that jungleman was necessarily insinuating that ike was building a cheating tool, when I read the transcript it brought into my mind that ike was building some super gto study tool, rather than something implementable in game.

It's against the policies of the forum, see the sticky forum FAQ.

Yeah , lighten up Norm .This is an entertainment show about a poker tournament , not an in-depth analytical news program. Why is it okay for Norm to call NYSU the Ragin Cajuns but not for Jaffe to describe himself as a dolphin trainer ? Surely thy're both screwing with the information process.

Playing drops when a guest is on is super -ev.

I think your screen name is already one of those randomly assigned passwords you get before you create your own.

Seems very unlikely. They asked the poker stars guy to talk some about his background and he didn't mention anything about being a former player or author.

Oops, forgot the reason I came here in the first place: GREAT job on the Nat X intro.

Who was the listener who recorded that? Please reply in this thread and be recognized.

Ike and Norman Chad... what a delight.

Please invite Norman more often.

Ross, I like the drops 95% of the time, all the time. I'm sure they'll get better in time anyway, just keep clicking buttons.

Great show, guys.

Ike does seem fanatical about preparation. Hell, he even apologizes for sneezing before he sneezes!

Ike is always a great interview, it's never long enough, it's a good thing he's a fairly regular 'guest' in the EPT Livestream booth, cos I could listen to him talk about pokers all day. He's a real class act.

And Norm was great, really on form, such a good sport. I used to not like him so much on the WSOP telecasts, but over time I've really warmed to him. I totally get what he's trying to do on those shows. He really loves the game and he's 'off the cuff' funny which ain't easy.

Good job by the co-hosts too. I liked the first tune you played. Reminded me a bit of Metronomy.

Because Norm's college nicknames are transparent jokes which are obvious to all who watch that aren't complete morons, While Jaffe's stunt was a pre-mediated lie designed to make professional broadcasters look and sound foolish.

Been listening to the poker cast long time (5 years) and my favourite episodes have been when Terrence is on. Always smart and his interests and insight in poker are enjoyable to listen to.

Also, maybe some of the drops are off, but Ross is still more fun to listen than any other tech they've had and loves poker. It's also very nice to have an extra voice once and a while without having Mike now.

Keep up the good work team! The sound quality was spot on this week.

During the interview with Norman Chad you mentioned Jonas Salk as someone people might have to Google to figure out who he is. Well, check out today's Google doodle.

Or from one of the worst Isaac Asimov short stories ever, most voters earn money just showing up near (polls).
