BTW, do you have any MMA bouts upcoming? Are you continuing with the combat sports?
2013 was more or less a training write-off with working full-time-plus at Ultimate Gaming, and I've had a few injuries this year. Hoping to fight MMA again in 2015. Doing a local submission grappling tournament in a couple of weeks though, I'm excited about that.

Regarding how long the Pokercast is, I was the one who wrote the ****ing letter. If you knew me you may think that is funny, because I rarely swear.

I love the show and have listened to every minute of every show. I drive 40,000+ miles a year and hike 5 hours a week. I am always listening to something, either this show, another podcast, talk radio or a book on tape. I consider myself an expert listener.

I related the tight aggressive approach to the show. If each show was analyzed segment by segment you would see that some are AA and some are QT UTG. Many people on the forum have posted that they like the long show and certainly these people would listen to Adam and Terrence talk on forever. I certainly believe that. Those posting are the most ardent fans to the show.

I believe the show would be better sticking to two hours or shorter as a guideline. That will force Adam and Terrence to edit their content to only the best. It will attract other listeners that aren't quite so committed to the show as those posting. This is my most favorite show. I love it. Still, there are many times that it drags a bit. I think reducing the number of guests is the right approach.

The more people listening to the show the better. A shorter more excellent show will attract more listeners. Just like a poker room needs new players, this show needs new listeners.

That being said, one of the very best shows ever was the Howard Lederer show which was probably the longest. Sometimes that is necessary. Other times it has been necessary to have longer shows as well. If the standard for the show was 2 hours, and at times because of an abundance of excellent content is available, a 3 hour show is necessary, that would be great.

^You'll take some hits for the poker analogies, but other than that, I agree with your post — in particular, you last 'graph (quoted). Two hours is a good target, with the option to go longer when the situation calls for it.

I like the three hour shows. And would want two good guests.

And my defn. of good guest is pretty wide. Hell track down the poobahs and mods here and interview them.

Since the show thread for No. 335 isn't up yet, I'll post it here: Adam, despite TChan's protests, keep up the Nat X intros.

Save your 335 posts! Save them! Thread will be up shortly, Adam's gotta celebrate his old age.

Mirza interview was excellent. Great guest being asked great questions. Very interesting to hear online players responses.

More please!

On the listening to the podcast at 1.5x speed. I never knew that was on option on my ipod, and then while listening to a show a few weeks ago, I must've accidentally clicked it. And I was like, WTF is going on, this is horrible production. It wasn't until I listened to a few other podcasts that I realized what I did and fixed it back to 1.0x speed.

I love getting in the TARDIS and going back a few weeks to meet that_pope.

I'm actually not being sarcastic, in case it's unclear (because I often am).
