When he was on SNL in the 90's he did a skit called "I'm Chillin'" with Farley. Comedy gold.

The new reality TV programme ‘Underground Poker’ starring poker duo Antonio Esfandiari and Phil Laak has been rejected by the Discovery Channel less than two weeks after the network aired the show’s pilot episode.

Esfandiari announced the news via Twitter yesterday when asked if there would be any new episodes in the near future:

“Looks like a no go my friend.”

The first episode of the series saw the two friends tackle the underground games in New Orleans, but the network’s producers were evidently unimpressed.

However, in a subsequent interview with PokerListings, the former One Drop champion remained optimistic about the show’s hopes of generating interest from another network, and thinks that given the chance, it could really take off:

“The producers have a lot of contacts in LA”, he explained. “With any TV series the first show is never going to be great. If we had a full season I think we could deliver a great product.”

“It has a lot of potential and I think Phil and I can do better.”
