Pokercast Episode 330 - Matt Hawrilenko and Johnathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel Pokercast Episode 330 - Matt Hawrilenko and Johnathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel

I really liked the Harwrilenko interview. I since added "Life after Poker" to My Podcasts. I think the concept can even be explored further. I would love to hear more about Terrence's journey as he goes forward.

The Fatal1ty interview was so hard to listen to. I have listened to every minute of the Pokercast, and that interview challenged that commitment. It actually took me over a week to get through it. Worse than eating peas. One thing that would have been interesting, but never came up, is how quickly a gamer must think. Does that get developed. That would be practical to poker.

I see the Pokercast right now trying to find its way with Adam now unrestrained by Mike. Some of it is really good, and ...

This should absolutely be a segment

I enjoyed the chemistry between Schwartz and TChan. You can tell you've known him way longer. Not saying you couldn't develop the same with other possible co-hosts, of course, but it's nice to have that already built in.

I enjoyed the TChan/Hawrilenko interview, but don't necessarily want outside stuff being a part of the PokerCast if that makes sense. I'd rather subscribe to and listen to that separately. While it is certainly related to poker, I felt like it was similar to hearing my Around the Horn podcast inserted into my Pardon the Interruption podcast. While similar, I want to hear them separately and not together.

I did not enjoy the Fatal1ty interview. All I heard was "I was really good and now I sell mousepads..." I rank it slightly above the infamous Chiren80 interview I am still bitter about.

Unrelated: When I did a Google Image search for Hawrilenko so I could put a face with a voice, I was ambushed with a picture of TChan sucking face. Now you may all be equally as disturbed. You're welcome.

Loved this episode, both guest segments and TC are hitting on all cylinders for me. Surprized no one has yet mentioned Jason Sommerville in this thread. Fatal1ty mentioned that live streaming or youtube personalities would help broaden the reach of poker, both are things Jason has in spades (or I would imagine he would say puppydog feet). I agree with Fatal1ty on that point as it is the new way to create personal brands that you can profit from.

Actually I can't believe that I had no idea who he was until his appearance on this show being an avid gamer myself.

Regarding the showlength:
I love the +3 h shows, but we musn´t forget that we are getting this for free.
I prefer a 2 h show to no show at all.
I also prefer a 2 h show to a 3 h show with 1 h worth of filler.
I say, let the show length take care of itself.

Also: Adam, you are doing an excellent job, and TC is the perfect co-host. The show is in safe hands.

Exactly. Extra length shows are a gift. Stop treating it as an entitlement.

That is correct. Clubs are not spades.

Just coming in to point out it was backgammon and not baccarat that Gus is rumored to play high stakes of and win.
