Pokercast Episode 313 - Victoria Coren-Mitchell, WPT Championship and Borgata SPO resolution

Live from the Two Plus Two Studios - This week Mike and Adam welcome Victoria Coren-Mitchell back to the show, fresh off making history by becoming the first person to win two EPT titles. Vicky breaks down a few of the hands she played at the final table as well as the approach she used on her way to victory. The guys have a little fun with her and her game show, Only Connect by turning the tables on her to see how she does as the game show contestant, rather than the host. Vicky also tells us the story of how she caught a bunch of freeloaders showing up to memorial services for people they don't know. The big story this week is the Borgata Spring Poker Open debacle resolution and Matt Savage drops by to give his thoughts on the outcome. There is also more Borgata talk as Mike and Adam give their thoughts on the the casino suing Phil Ivey for his huge baccarat wins. A new Sklansky minute is aired and of course, the password for the April 27th Pokerstars Invitational for Pokercast listeners is revealed.

Really enjoy the shows guys. Keep them coming.

Just starting this one and am amazed that you guys don't appreciate the fine cuisine that Hooters has to offer.

I don't understand how anyone at the Borgata in gaming enforcement can out themselves as a bunch of rubes for agreeing to Ivey's terms. Reminds me of the often quoted line from Guys & Dolls:

Quote:
One of these days in your travels, a guy is going to come to you and show you a nice, brand new deck of cards on which the seal has not yet been broken. This man is going to offer to bet you that he can make the jack of spades jump out of that deck and squirt cider in your ear. Now son, you do not take this bet, for as sure as you stand there, you are going to wind up with an earful of cider.

Every time you guys go on a road trip I am impressed by your ongoing commitment to maintaining a college-era level of alcohol consumption into your 30s.

Thought I'd have to skip through a lot of golf chatter. Pleasantly surprised by stories of men ****ting themselves and Mike climbing fences.

I normally defend the Sklansky minute but wtf? Bring back the parrot stories.

The drink that you make w/ tea is punch btw. Not jungle juice frat party junk, but an actual proper punch recipe. Use it as the 'weak' instead of water (which the americans replaced tea, warm or room temp, w/ ice for cold punches)

I blew a mouthful of soda all over my steering wheel during that story. Anytime a grown ass man ****s himself, it makes for a great story.

Had the Pokercast on while driving. Missed the transition in the story from Jason Dufner to your friend s******g himself, so I thought it was Dufner who s***t himself. Damn near wrecked my car.
