Have tickets to see them on October 29th. Haven't heard the whole record yet as it just dropped this week officially but it seems like a nice comeback. Octopus is a grower (any tune that features that crazy Asian drummer is good with me). Day Four is a very solid track. So far no home run classics like Banquet or Helicopter but there's a lot of exciting guitar on this effort and some heavy guitar that we've never heard before(that tune 'Kettling' could start a riot).
While they seem to have returned to the urgency of Silent Alarm and A Weekend In the City, it's still different than their original so-called post-punk sound. It's completely different altogether than the electronic experiment that was Intimacy.
I'm starting to lump them in more with the likes of Biffy Clyro, Muse, Pumpkins etc.. as opposed Joy Division and Gang of Four.
I'm a fan for sure.
