Yeah. Fuel pumps. We had this argument two years ago. You gave the same answer then. The same johnson rod quip and a seeming trust no one cuz everyone's out to get you rationale. That type of thinking works better in poker. In reality the thing is...the guy selling you gas is not the mechanic fixing your car. If the mechanic says running with a near empty tank is bad for your fuel pump you should consider the idea that he has no skin in the game. He doesn't sell gas.

Regarding Daniel Negreanu's choice of teammates for Tag Team Event. I think he said on his blog that he picked those players because they are all on his fantasy team, so that if the team did well, he would pick up a bunch of fantasy points - it seems to have worked out well for him!

Sheep game was quite fun. The Peehs game is a daily quiz show on BBC TV, known as "Pointless" there.
(Format is marginally different -- contestants have to find correct answers to questions that the fewest members of an external panel gave. Special prizes for a "pointless" answer, that nobody found.)

I just ran into T Chan in the Amazon room. I said hello, but I don't think he realized it was me.

Most of the time when someone says hi to them, they realize its the person talking to them.

If they care or not is another matter entirely.

That makes a lot of sense. Pick the mixed game players least likely to do well at NL and get on a strong team themselves and throw them on your team.

I like how during the WSOP online event TChan said that he has seen people get 300 seconds added for a disconnect and then said he could see that go as high as 5 minutes when HU at a final table...not giving much of a range, huh.

That's some pretty careful listening right there.

With PokerNews once again providing the reporting, you can see the reporter's name on the PokerNews live reporting site before it gets crossposted to WSOP.com without the name.

The report where Scott Seiver's queens suck out on Esfandiari's kings was attributed to "Webjoker", aka Frank op de Woerd, the man running the live reporting team this year.
