You've certainly inspired a whole bunch of home game players to chime in to the 'cast.
Thanks, Doug.

I have noticed that as well. That was pretty much what inspired me to call in -- there's a whole world of underground games and pros (they often make their way to AC back and forth). And not many people know about them. I can't tell you how many young guys I know who put themselves through school working a part time job and playing poker to pay tuition. And there are plenty of older guys as well. Some of them have been gaining some traction on Instagram lately, which has proven to be a very useful promotional platform for them. But again, many guys who remain unknown.

Maybe they'd prefer to keep it that way.

Someone mentioned that the underground games can't be beat -- and while that is very true to an extent, there are many other ways underground pros generate income. Very similar to a Rakeback, but earned in various promotional ways. The games have to fill up some how, and if you can help, then you can often get a piece of the game, a free buy-in, or a flat referral per player. That's one of the ways you can beat the rake. A lot of guys I know will just shape a game in order to lock up a win.

For the weigh ins, why can't there be a weekly weigh in for all fighters that are planning to fight in the next 6-12 months and have their average weight -5 lbs or something be their fighting weight. The larger the sample, the harder it would be to do one time manipulation.

Not knowing the players involved, if they are seriously arguing over the difference between $1600 and $2700 they should probably just split the difference ($2150) and not make any more ill-defined deals.
I'm guessing the difference argued on was more likely $0 vs. $2700.

Cost (anyone other than the UFC and a couple others don't want to have to send people out to every fighter on their roster's gym and weigh them weekly), plus lots of fights are made short notice
