I vote to punt the Ivey drop. We all need a little more Doug Lee.

Love the idea of the pipwof (which looks like it's now the ipwof?)
imo screen names should be allowed to get in there even if we don't know anything about the player behind the sn

Just got to the part of the show that explains that.

Get rid of Doug Lee imo

I enjoyed the show this week. I also agree with punting off the Doug Lee drop.

I'm voting Doug Lee('s drop) off the island.

Meh I haven't heard the podcast yet but I don't think many people have too much of a moral issue with VPN'ing, provided they don't combo it with multi-accounting. For me it's in exactly the same category as playing under-age - it shouldn't really be done and you have no excuse if your funds are seized, but there is no need to be indignant of those who choose to do it.

I don't have any kind of a moral stand against VPN playing. It's a way around a relentlessly stupid set of federal rules. I understand that those who refuse to do it at great cost (by moving out of USA #1) get all chapped off because others refuse to make that sacrifice, but I just can't really be bothered by it.

Multiaccounting is rather worse. But datamining, bots, and things like sharkystrator are reasons why I'm pretty sure I'm done with online poker even if if comes back widely in the USA.

I vote shorten the Ivey drop and voting off the doug lee drop

Just had a chance to listen to the show. Get rid of the Doug Lee drop.

I liked the discussion with Zach. I play live cash almost exclusively, so tells are a big part of my game.

Regarding the "will you fold if I show" question, I usually adopt the strategy of just staring at the pot in silence. But, I have a couple of canned responses that I will use on occasion. They are: "I will show if you call" and "Well - why don't you fold first and then I'll decide." I try to mix these up between strong hands and bluffs, obviously. A player who asks the question is almost always going to fold anyway.

Next show is being recorded on Monday afternoon, we had scheduling issues this week.

Terrence being scared half to death by the NEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRDDDDDDDD drop was classic

Keep Ivey.

A take on Haxton, his casual dismissal when Hastings told him he was using a different account screams to me that this is so wide spread that when it comes across it doesn't even move his needle.

I agree.

On top of that, it seems like any time an account shows up in the high-stakes games out of the blue AND it turns out to be a skilled player, we see some "who is ______" thread. So it makes me wonder how often a "new" account surfaces but the identity of the player is sniffed out by the other regs fairly quickly — if not revealed by that player (as Hastings did).

This was a missive received a month ago by way of Stars' response to writer seeing watchers on 7, 15, 30, dollar etc Spin n Go's otherwise unavailable in the 'observe' section. Stars not knowing how it is being done should be of some concern. Has one wondering...what else is going on...?

Hello,

Thank you for your follow-up.

Please know first that there are (to my knowledge) not anyone with specific privileges to watch more games than others. That being said, we appreciate your feedback on this matter, and acknowledge the seriousness of what you are highlighting.

We can confirm that we are aware of the issue (datamining) and are working to find a proper resolution as soon as possible. Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to provide an accurate time frame for this, but please rest assured that we will be doing our utmost to preserve our players' best interests.

Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.

That timeframe is clearly a long one. For months now, whenever you play a Spin and Go there's a single observer popping up. I had it again just now.
09-01-2015 , 03:49 AM
Yep to the time frame. As to the 'single' watcher, I have had 3 watchers multiple times. Clearly a sophisticated hack being shared by a select(?) few.
