Gambling stories from the pros is a much-loved classic segment from episodes past. Any chance of a revival?

Also, good players talk about betting patterns, but I never seem to be able to pick up on any (live or on-line). Could you discuss in a bit of detail?

Jesse Martin interview was excellent. How do you spell his twitter handle, I got it wrong based on what you said in the show, and he'd be an interesting follow.

My Twitter is : @Mazeorbowie...Thanks!

always wondered about your twitter handle Jesse

is it something to do with this?

I quite liked the Jesse Martin interview, but felt as though he was holding back criticisms to some degree to avoid being disliked. Entirely understandable.

Kind of...its a reference to the band Phish. They have 2 songs that start with a similar drum beat, "David Bowie" and "Maze"

The song David Bowie definitely has something to do with David Bowie

This is fair and partially true. I guess I just wasn't interested in completely slamming anyone, especially because I have already come close enough to doing that recently and in the end it doesn't seem like a productive thing to do. If it was my last WSOP ever and I didn't want to work towards making progress in the future I could see myself being slightly less "PC"

. . . and I really do understand why. Being entirely honest without being a jerk or going over the top is actually quite difficult to do, and there are definite costs unless you get it exactly right. I for one wouldn't have minded a slam on Cantu, however.

Eh as far as Cantu he is who he is, I hated how he acted in that one incident last year but his everyday life and mine don't intersect all the often so I have no real reason to hate him or worry about him.

I also kind of enjoy playing poker with him for unintentional entertainment reasons and cause he creates an action table so he can't be all that terrible!

Haha I like this.

I guess it would be like getting Hellmuth, only splashier.

Answer below, but DO NOT CLICK until you've really given up on figuring it out! Trust me, it's very gratifying to get the third way, once you've racked your brain and could only come up with two for the longest time.

Spoiler:

Suppose you have 9d 3d 3s 3s
1. 9s 9h 9c X Y (quad 3s ofc)
2. Ad Kd Qd Jd Td (your 9-high flush is the highest possible flush)
3. 2d 2h 2s 2c 9s (9s full of 2s is the best possible hand)

I find that most people get #1 right away, but people often get one of #2 or #3 and struggle with the other
If the hand was 9993 there would actually be more than 3 solutions

Yeah, 4 groups of solutions.

On the game tipping up to $20 and is that hurting the game or making it unprofitable? That $20 "rake" doesn't affect you on pots you win, so it isn't the same as an enormous rake, since it doesn't hurt your winrate.
