I love that term "false outrage," and it's everywhere, not just in this thread.
Earlier this month, Seinfeld made a bunch of headlines about not appearing on college campuses anymore because of exactly that trend (which I can attest to, as a university employee). Adam Carolla more or less corroborated the sentiment in another interview, further saying that the PC police don't really care about these causes, but that by acting outraged by a comment, they get to prop themselves up as a societal hero.
If you go to any outlet that reported this, check out the comments section — nothing but false outrage. So the comments slamming Seinfeld for his statement further supports his statement. That's comedy.
Which brings me to...

Sounds a bit racist to me.
Yet another discriminatory comment that the hosts let slide because it was said by someone who didn't have the last name Brunson.
I would be astonished if there was one Asian listener who took offense to this*. It was a joke. Maybe it was infused with a little commentary on our own tendencies to stereotype, but still a joke. Nothing more, and no intelligent listener of the Pokercast should interpret it otherwise.
If Deeb had said something like, "He's Asian, so we shouldn't care what he thinks" or "he's Asian, so he shouldn't even have been allowed in the building" — AND was serious about it — then we can cry foul about discrimination/racism.
Now, with that said, in before all people named Brunson fill this thread with complaints that someone would make such a discriminatory comment about their name.
