He's not really going to get a chance to talk about poker, if he's not asked about poker.

As someone who has met and interacted with Ali, I can assure you he's one of the nice guys.

Ok, fair enough, in that case I'll sit corrected.

Great show. +1 to all the positive comments, -1 to the douche.

Umm, sorry man I think something was lost in translation. Im actually saying that his jokes are super old and tired. And yeah, **** was racist. Am I being sensitive? Im not sure but if you're a comedian it means you have jokes, and the one joke that Stapleton decided to be really proud of is that one? I think it means you are not good at doing the comedy. "Hey! Im so edgy because I told a 'black people love watermelon' joke, allow me to retell it to your audience!".

Oh wait, are you a white, xenophobe who calls immigrants "dirty dogs" in your native language? If, yes, please disregard this reply.

I've read how metal illness can rob you of your situational comprehension and therefore impair your sense of humour. Being a hypochondriac, I'm constantly laughing inappropriately. LOL.

I watched the Pittsburgh and Seattle episodes of Ali's show. It should be an hour, or two or three episodes per city, it's hard to relay sincerity when you're blowing through places so quickly. It did make me want to see Pittsburgh. Does it smell like Hamilton?

It isn't the poker savant's fault that he's not media savvy -- there's basically zero money in it at this point, and it takes experience to appear relaxed and spontaneous on a long format show.

Given 5 years and a few dozen interviews, some of those wooden guys will be spinning yarns with the best of them. Take Phil Galfond as an example of someone who used to be a meh interview who is now just fun to hear hang out in the studio. Ali and Joe are media pros, they can tell stories, and you don't feel instantly bad that they're struggling.

Guests like this make the show way better. The occasional new phenom interview is fine, but we all know how hard it is to find someone who sounds good in your format.
The choices are not only an inexperienced interview with a young up and comer or a person who has moved on to projects outside of poker. There are people in the middle. This week's (ep 355) show has Chainsaw talking about food in Vegas during the world series. Lots of good, solid information for players from someone still playing poker but not a person I would say is a riveting speaker.

My only criticism is Lee Jones being way off on the timeline of the Big Game. I believe he said something like it was a different environment when it was on back in '06 and '07 when comparing it to The Shark Cage. I'm going to go look it up now, but I know it was more recent. I would say '11 and '12.

Wikipedia says: Original run June 14, 2010 – July 22, 2011

Way off Lee. It's ok to be off, but by being off is making excuses as to why one product is more popular than another doesn't seem right.

Speaking of somebody who just fell off the face of the poker earth after The Big Game and her dating of Daniel.

She was sponsored by Bodog for a year or so, then left poker.
