Your voice has accompanied me for years and years – whether that be on long journeys in the car, relaxing in the bath, player numerous poker tournaments, walking the dog etc. etc.

I feel gutted to hear that you are leaving. There are so many great moments that stick in my memory – I have always particularly enjoyed hearing you talk about your exploits at the WSOP. Nobody can ask a long rambling question as well as Mike Johnson. 

As Adam said – the way you move the podcast along, keep everything flowing and get the most out of guests is a tough skill. Good luck on whatever you move onto next – you have an amazing back catalogue of work to look back on.

Good luck to Adam in finding a replacement. Hope Mike pops back a couple of times a year – it won’t be the same without you.
Well spoken! Fully agree. Commuting won't be the same. "Well, eh..." Thanks for all those years and good luck with future endeavors.

Marco Valerio would be a nice choice for a co-host.

what about that dude who is the new singer of journey? He's had some success replacing a legendary voice...

MJ you selfish bastard.

What pity, always wanted to have my name mispronounced on the show.

But wish you al the best in your future endeavours MJ.

Ha! Pretty sure Wheel In The Sky has something to do with the nut low in Omaha8 too..

Even though Mike brings a great deal of poker pop culture knowledge and an unsurpassed ability to butcher pronunciation, the hardest thing to find in a replacement will be the obvious respect an affection that Mike and Adam have for each other. This rapport will be missed. As for a replacement... I hear its always funner with Bunner!

Mike, of all the podcast hosts I have listened to over the years, you were one of them.

Seriously, it will be hard to find someone with the same love for the game who can consistently bring a level of joy and enthusiasm to the show each week.

All the best to you as well as Adam and whoever else continues on.

Been listening since pre 2p2 days, and I have to say the thing that I love most about this show is that it sounds like I'm listening to two of my buddies talk about my favourite subject. Your chemistry together is spot on, and while I still cringe at the ums sometimes, I think now under the circumstances, I might even miss them.

Adam, glad you're sticking around, but I have to admit I am a bit sceptical that a reasonable MJ facsimile can be found. I look forward to being proven wrong!

I don't think there is any realistic chance of finding MJ's facsimile, so to be honest I'm not going to try. Wouldn't be fair to the person trying.

The show will be different, hopefully people will enjoy it as well.

The Pokercast has been one of the highlights of my week for the last 4 1/2 years now. MJ will be missed. GG. Keep up the great work Adam.

I think this is only my second time posting here, but I haven't missed a show since I started listening 4 years ago. Mike and Adam, you guys have been awesome putting out such a quality product year after year. Thank you both for that. MJ - best of luck in whatever you are up to next! You will be missed and I will certainly look forward to your future appearances on the show. Adam - thanks for not throwing in the towel and deciding to carry on with the show.

Oh and btw, did you guys spill beer on the sound board or something? I miss weekly beratings from Joan Rivers and reminders that Kathy Liebert has a great twitter.

Is that a shot of vodka in your right hand? If so, you are the man!

Thanks for all the work you've put in over the last 10 years Mike! I've listened to almost every episode of Rounders the Poker Show and the 2+2 Pokercast over the last 9 years and you and Adam have had far and away the most professional and informative poker show on the internet. I hope you come back for the odd appearance in the future, or maybe consider un-retiring!

Any chance we'll ever find out what was said on the Bonomo "lost tapes"? Just kidding.

I really would do a show with Adam. I'm in touch with all the gossip and issues I the poker world, although not really with the online scene. I'd be happy to guest host on a few occasions if not a permanent basis.

And they think I try too hard to interject myself into the topic.

Allen, your first step is to make a Kessler-cast for an audition, and to prove that God didn't really roll a critical fail on your Charisma score. I'll co-host to help you out, since I have experience.
06-06-2014 , 09:12 AM
If I get a chance, I'm going to a better shop of blanking the sign to let the photo-fun begin. Adam, got any more pics MJ would rather forget?

I'll take the over on me watching the movie Swingers at 500 times. But since listening to the show, I now associate the quote "Our little boy is all grows" with the Pokercast and MJ. And I always love it when he sneaks in that quote.

Adios MJ! The show won't be the same without you.
