Ya, I agree it was.
Ruined the movie for me, though. Six year old kid climbing all over the seat in front of me looking at me for some reason the whole show kinda makes it hard to enjoy a good dick joke.
Probably should have just told him to ship the $10.95 ticket refund.

Some might argue that you should ask Adam Sandler for your $10.95 back.

Well I found the story funny when I heard it. Cause the kid had it coming.
IMO the kid was better off getting a bottle of ketchup poured over his head at this stage in his life than if it was to butt heads with the wrong person later in life who could knock some of his teeth out. Alternatively the store manager could've involved the cops obv, but I think that would be a waste of public resources tbh.
But I don't want to get into a huge parenting discussion here since that would be pretty pointless.
Also I agree that it generally is not a good idea to tell others how to parent their kids, but if for example I had friends with a kid visiting me and the kid would start to pull everything out of my drawers and closets and the parents wouldn't make it stop doing that on my request, I'd have no remorse in kicking them all out of my house right away.

Re: [LC] Random Ramblings About Canada related stuff.
Tonight I made Stona's crazy german apple thingys:
First Shamwows, now these!
They turned out pretty good, presentation was a little lacking, and they have looked fancier with icing sugar, but all in all, great success. My Weimaraner felt entitled to them by birthright.

Awesome. It makes me really happy that they turned out well.
Also, this is a dish that the more often you make it the better they end up being. My first attempts at it were pretty pitiful, the more often I made it though the better I got at it. It's really a lot about the consistency of the dough and also finding the right heat setting on the stove.
Your pictures look really stunning for the first try, wp & gg sir. Have you been a cook at some point in your life?

I agree. It's a bit tricky to get the right amount of batter on them, but all in all they were presentable. Never been a cook, but in my bachelor days I recognized the sexual conquests made possible by culinary skills.. I also make a lot of pancakes. It's a similar problem of heat/dough consistency.
I think I owe much of the success to the cast iron skillet I used. Nice and deep, and very even heat. We got it a few months ago for like 18$ and it makes everything better.
We went for a two hour walk to kill the guilt of cheese fondue and "apple poker donuts".

Re: [LC] Random Ramblings About Canada related stuff.
OK, so back to parenting...
How do you deal with some of these stupd situations without coming off as a douche?
I mean, with JD's sister in law... the kid needs to learn... parent says you made the kid upset, you say kid made you upset, parent says kid doesn't know any better, and the obvious response is this is how the kid will learn, so they know better next time.
Bad parenting tilts me too...
I don't have kids FWIW
As for the laissez faire parenting... the whole point of that (IMO) is that the kid will learn on his own, from society if you will, how to live their life by experiencing the consequences of their actions and adjusting. But if society isn't allowed to do anything about it... tell the kid off, tell the parents off, or god forbit lay a finger on the child, then the whole thing is destined to fail, right? So its just a excuse to absolve yourself of your parenting responsibilities.....
And before people remind me that it was a situation from a funny story where the parents were obviously wrong, its a growing trend apparently. There was an article in the G&M a few months back talking about how it was getting more common. It should be getting more common for strangers to cuff unruly kids too....

Wait, does this mean you've crossed the line?
Think back to the cautionary tale that was Kurtz:
