Adam, you pronounced naivety correctly AFAIK.

Not sure Mike should be mocking anyone for mispronouncing anything anyway.

Embarrassing strategy question from this week's show.

Mike was talking about the WPT final table in Florida, and was very critical of the big stack raising 5x the BB under the gun with AceKing when the table was five handed.

It was not immediately obvious to me why this was so terrible. Limping can’t be right. So is the raise too big, in that it will scare off callers with worse hands? I could see making that argument if the raise was 10x.

Even so, is the big blind looking for callers with middle pair, to which he’s a slight dog?

What should the play have been, and why?

Raise was far too large, between 2-2.5BB would be standard for this stage of the tournament.

Small stack with TT and like 12BB should have snap shoved.

Good job on getting WSOPC changes! Power to the People.

It wasn't a strategy discussion. The hand was brought up as a casual example of how terrible the play was overall at the final table of WPT event. Adam was just being as ass and trying to be funny about me talking commenting on anyone's play at all because he thinks I suck. The whole point of bringing up the hand was not to break down the hand but how far behind the quality of play seems to be in Florida right now compared to elsewhere.

But none of us know who Roman Polanski is.

The discussion of "naïveté" hurt my brain. Was Mike thinking of the Nativity?
02-15-2012 , 08:38 PM
Roman Polanski was in the movie

Huh? Sydney Pollack was in it, but where was Polanski?

It was shot in England. If Polanski had set foot in the country, there would have been a real risk of arrest.

came here to say this. loved the show, but c'mon. mike has takin his inability to pronounce words to another level.

naivete - as usual Adam is right , Mike is wrong.

English has a lot of borrowed words and many of them retain their original pronunciation. Really, should Mike be giving any advice on how to pronounce words? Ask Mike how to pronounce schadenfreude in English.
