Re: Episode 228?

Alright guys here's the latest...After countless software crashes I finally have a master file to upload to the PokerCast servers that is a little over 100mb. I've tried uploading several times and failed to get past 5%. Speed test shows a whopping 0.14Mbs upload rate. Its simply not going to work on this crappy internet at Palms Place. I've talked to the front desk and they think the IT guys get here at 7am and they might be able to hook me up with a house account with a solid upload rate. If not I have to go off-site somewhere to upload. I will keep you guys updated...(should call this episode Murphy's Law) Apologies for the delay.

Re: Episode 228?

Bunner ate a 13lb Pork Chop!!!!? .....I could see that.

btw - I understand working girls @The Palms have a 0.14Mbs upload rate as well, so that makes sense.

w/o this week's show I guess I'll have to watch another ep of Celebrity Poker Showdown. I miss Phil Gordon. Is he selling shawarmas outside the Rio this year?

It is amazing that Palms Place does not have a media center where fast uploads are the norm. I have podcasted from numerous hotels and I am always able to upload episodes that are 50-60 minutes long in just minutes using the regular guest internet or media center. Even five years ago this was becoming the norm.

Here is what I don't get. Before black Friday, how did poker players multi-table online poker from their hotel rooms or lobbies with such bad internet service? How can a hotel hope to attract poker players when online poker is legal again if the internet connections are so bad? On a related note, the WSOP live feed was just terrible. It seems like poker players and poker fans put up with or are at least subject to some pretty bad internet services.
