Backing Players Backing Players

I just want to see how insulted I should be. I backed a player at various rates and levels for several years in tournaments, with little or no ROI. I was involved with several other backers who lost interest. I continued to back this person on my own and they started doing well. Cashing for over $85k in about a 3 month span. My share more than paid back all my previous investments by 4 fold. Shortly after this they approached me and stated they no longer needed my help. I understand this, although I did feel it was a bit soon, but we agreed to part ways and they would bankroll themselves. That's not the insulting part. About 3 months into their independent voyage they contacted me about backing them in a $570/250k gtd event. The offer was texted to me that I would put up 50% of the entry for 10% of the winnings. I instantly knew this was a typo. It wasn't. I let them know it was a bad deal for me and that I wasn't interested but if they needed $300 I would give it to them. They were positive that this was an offer in good faith and positive it was a good investment for me. I didn't and it wasn't. So.....how insulted should I be?

This should be a question on a MTT or staking forum, unless you are specifically addressing TChan or Pokercast Adam. Please repost it to one of those forums.
