Re: ZOOM NL100 Whole hand review

Why on Earth would you want to basically min 3bet the wettest flop in history of wet flops with bottom set?

Re: ZOOM NL100 Whole hand review

open raise bigger pre, cbet bigger. If you want to reraise OTF, make it bigger as well to charge draws. Your river bet size is too small as well. Why are you always betting small?

Call me a nit but I'm guessing that river sucks for OP.

I agree with that as well. Facing a shove here, I think OP is beat a decent amount here or close to 100%.

Red face Re: ZOOM NL100 Whole hand review

Thanks for the feedback, my bet sizing is terrible!!!

As you have guessed I was beat...timebank called though I knew I shouldn't of though .

Dunno if I should be folding there...board texture wise he can have a lot....but the way the hand was played he most likely has the hand he had, which was 10 10

Lol this was like almost a week ago and I totally forgot about T9 being a possibility.

I totally agree with everyone, I posted it just to firm up my conclusions that my BS is too small and I generally messed this hand up!

I like bigger raise preflop but "i guess" its debatable
FLOP: SUPER BAD. Your cbet on that flop can and should be bigger because a) its a wet flop, b) your c-bet wont give anything away about hand strength anyway. then once the fun begins your repping super strong with your reraise so consider what hands might call you. The big hands like two pair and overpairs will prolly be relatively inflexible here (either calling or not) and you can bet much bigger vs draws for value. (i would make 2/3-full pot cbet) so you totally let cat out of bag and you barely deny draws correct EXPRESS odds... not good cause you know there will be some RIO for you if opp gets there. Look at this from a pot geometry stand point too. Check out the SPR. What is your goal? I think you want to build a big enough pot to get stacks in and this flop might be your best chance to do so.
One thing i've noticed too is that a lot of players who have draws but dont get good pot odds will just ship it (which seems OK with a set)
The way you played it you built just a big enough pot for YOU to go broke in when opp catches. Not exactly what we should be going for.

As played; not sure about the turn, you've basically got SDV only at this point so maybe best to go into SD mode, x and hope for x back and miracle riv card.

Look how akward your SPR is on the river. Its a mess. Still, i think you can just shove becase villain isn't gonna fold his made hands and isnt gonna call with anything less; he also NEVER bluffs here vs bet or X if he's a sentient being with some level of cognitive function. You pulled off the miracle, it would be CRIMINAL if your bet was only called by a non nut flush. You'd have flushed a lot of hours of play away on one mistake. That just can't happen. SHOVE RIVER!
NOTE: look at what hapens if you raised pot sized instead of MR on the flop; all of the sudden you have a nice easy shove

i kinda like the river bet.. but you should fold against reraises like this

not betting river leaves you with million questions about his hand when he bets out hugely
