SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has Q Q

fold, fold, MP raises to 3 BB, Pokie calls 3 BB, fold, fold, SB raises to 12 BB, fold, fold, Pokie calls 9 BB

Flop: (28 BB, 2 players) 3 6 A
SB checks, Pokie checks

Turn: (28 BB, 2 players) 3
SB checks, Pokie checks

River: (28 BB, 2 players) Q
SB bets 9 BB, Pokie raises to 26 BB, SB raises to 115.69 BB and is all-in, Pokie?!

I think I play this hand ok pre-flop.

Not sure about my passive play post-flop.

What do I do on the river? Should I have raised or just called? Do I now call the shove?

Sucks slowplayed AA almost always given how the hand played out.

Tempted to say fold but I'm probably not good enough to let it go in game.

And of course, you have to raise river. With experience you'll raise in this situation thinking "please don't shove", making a fold fairly easy in theory. I always call these days though, and I'm always right in that I should have folded.

Looks like there's nothing we can do . Even if we bet flop and it goes c/c on turn, stacks are almost always going in on river.

Just a cooler either way.

Reload the 200 pennies

ppl just dont take this line as a bluff at these stakes... but youre a bigger nit than ruditurbo so its conceivable if villain knows that

You spiel so much irrelevance. You might as well say "Yeah, you eat cheese sandwiches..."

Anyway, it wasn't intentionally rude. Just a friendly dig.

I did end up folding. It took me about 5 seconds to think about it.

i mean, you probably have the bottom and top of your range all at once. it may well be a correct fold but i wouldn't want people seeing that i was doing this!

Good point, I probably shouldn't be posting hands, but the SSFR forum seems so devoid of content at times.

To me it just felt like one of those spots where the villain knows exactly what I have, and I have a reasonable idea of what he has, and the villain still jams despite knowing where I am at. He could never take this line as a bluff in my opinion, because he couldn't expect me to be able to lay down my hand.

This is a very, very common spot at ssfr.

Did I own him here or did he own me here?

There r 2 regs at 200 who are good enough to bluff there and 2 who r stupid enuff to bluff there. Divide those 4 people through teh entire reg pool and its basic math from there on
02-12-2015 , 08:29 AM
i doubt there's anyone who bluffs here who doesnt bet the turn for value considering a bluffing range here has to be combos of ax

We need names. Btw I'm still fuming about not folding top boat to your insanely obvious quads the other day.

Absolute suicide to call off top boat vs him. It's also std to check back 3rd nuts vs him on river because he wont call with worse.

Well played. Only hand that really makes sense is AA given his line. But as mentioned, make sure your opponents aren't aware that you're doing this since folding full houses can be pretty exploitable.
