Re: *** The Scum Reg Guide ***
Are persistant Jesus-seaters who never ever start tables themselves considered scummy?
I've been starting a load of tables recently and see the same guys every day insta-sitting my tables as soon as a fish joins, but they will never start a table or even play a single hand of HU as they insta-leave as soon as the fish busts.
I have a big list of these guys, and a some of them are even regular posters here.
Scummy or just annoying?

Even though I start tables every chance I get and hate those guys, I don't think it's really scummy.

Played him HU the other day, I doubled my stack through a bunch of medium pots but then after a while he stacked me with a preflop flip. Insta-left the table after this hand. I asked him about it the day after and he said he didn't notice and couldn't remember. I was going to give him the benefit of the doubt, but maybe not....

I think I agree, but come on guys, just start one or two tables per session and you'll reap the rewards, get some good karma, maybe improve your game, and other regs won't think you're being complete leeches.
YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE.

Re: *** The Scum Reg Guide ***
i dont understand why fake tabling starting is scummy.. at the beginning of a session ill open up a bunch of tables and ill play some regs HU but other times if a good reg sits down i wont want to play, so i'll sitout or leave. does this make me scummy....? or other times ill have like 15tables open and ill forget that im still sitting at empty tables and someone will sit me hu and im not up to play while multi tabling, this makes me a scumbag too? personally i think fake table starting is absolutely harmless. could be annoying but i dont think it should even be mentioned in this thread. sometimes when there are no tables running you'll see some scummy regs 'fake tabling starting' and i actually think its good for everyone because there are at least some tables open with a player on it for the fish to join to get a game started.
many times ill sit a reg HU and they will sit out or leave and i have absolutely ZERO problem with that.
idk

Re: *** The Scum Reg Guide ***
i think this thread should be ended by mods now
i does not make sense any1 can just go here and give a bad name to other regs without any proof, or giving other reg chance to defend himself.
(and no, I am not a scummy reg, and my name was never mentioned here once).

Re: *** The Scum Reg Guide ***
this thread its ok as long as we focus on the truely scummy regs who are bad for the health of the games
and grimming and talking to fish to get a HU with them is within that scummy range
fake table starting (or selective table starting) is not imo
but now i know that if i see sexyangelina sitting HU (which i never do i guess he plays 100nl) i will not join him

Re: *** The Scum Reg Guide ***
Sigh, i just wrote a detailed break down for the table starting issue and 2+2 signed me out and won't post it. i'll re-write it another day. I think i didn't explain it well enough in the op but i think some people are just being obtuse about the matter. It's not black or white, there is def grey areas and certainly times when fake table starters help the game (even if it is only a by product of the player helping himself). Anyway, i'll write it again later tonight or tomorrow.
Ranil, I agree people should be providing evidence, As you can see in the OP and subsequent posts i made, i really want people to start posting screen shots etc. But that's not to say that this thread should be removed. It does have a purpose, it's just got to be used correctly and it is understandable for something like this to have teething problems while people are trying to understand what it is all about. Give it a month, If it turns into a poo flinging contest i'll ask the mods to close it myself.
But there has definitely been some good warnings provided here to other regs.
1st cast iron scum reg: SexyAngeline.

Re: *** The Scum Reg Guide ***
infact, you know what, the more i think about it the less the thread should accept intangibles. The fake table starting is incredibly annoying but i suppose there's little that can be done about it. The whole grimming thing and sitting out and in when fish do are against the tos, trying to prise fish from tables while probably not against the tos should be frowned upon.
I think that this thread should be deleted and allow a fresh one to take its place, outing grimmers and sit in and outers, firstly to provide evidence of regs doing this to stars (since they are now coming down harder on these people) and secondly to serve as a warning to other regs that play in these games. And although trying to prise a fish away from the table is probably not against tos, we can add these douchebags in for good measure. And to avoid it being abused we can just make a rule to post with evidence or get infracted etc. I don't know whether that would appease people or not.

this is the what i consider a scum reg, mead plays everyday full time and is knowingly grimming other well respected regs.
