if you play more than 25,000 hands a month at 1/2 full ring then you are better off with vip than rakeback (rough estimate based on my play this month)

basically if you can be black vip then it is better because you earn half the amount of points as a rb player than you do if you are vip (read it from somewhere too lazy to check to confirm). this is confirmed on lock's page for how ronin works and makes it really horrible to be a rb player during those months.

you can switch between rb and vip but support is lol so i didnt try to do that cuz i didnt wanna miss out on ronin.
