Im considering a trial move to melbourne in dec/jan for 3-4 months to play poker full time. Im hoping to have a br of 4k for poker to play 1/2 and some 2/3. are the games beatable in the long run for me to do this? Also I have had no luck looking for cheap accommodation, can anyone help me out on this?

sort of semi-often. maybe every second/3rd weekend, mostly friday nights coz i find they are the juciest and it still means i can do non-poker stuff on sat nights.
