yes, shortstackers were, and will forever be aids. things did get better when they changed sites or got a job at mcdonalds w/e, sadly other things non-related to them also kept getting worse

still far too many shortstackers playing though.

I mean I sort of agree with your point that whiners are going to whine but it has absolutely zero to do with the current conversation. People complaining about short stackers and people not doing well now is not mutually exclusive. The fact is the games are significantly tougher now than ever, regs are better, fish are more educated and there is also the rise of the machines.

To suggest that successful people/players "don't whine" is a complete fallacy and again, I can't honestly believe you think that? Also you completely ignore the point that the games could even be significantly worse (or better) if short stackers were still around.

Finally, after so many years of posting here and poker quietly going down the toilet, are you ever going to reveal your SN? Is just difficult to give any weight to the voice of the anonymous, you could be JulyShort, for all we know, ad that guy has to use 95% of his powers of concentration just to breathe.

I just was reminded how there was a thread with thousands of posts bashing and blaming shortstackers for hindering their amazing postflop skills and abilities to make monies. There were so many brags jeeeeesusssss. Where are those vocal dudes i wonder.
Nothing changed and nothings going to change. Successful ones dont whine
I'm not whining. The year I turn 22 I'll make about $75k tax free, doing something I quite enjoy, and I probably have the lowest living expenses of any reg west of Poland. I am very happy with my life right now. I just don't think I should have to be silent about the reason I can only make $75k instead of the $175k I could of made if games were what they were like 5 years ago.

Eastern Europeans have been destroying the games for years. The rat holing situation (which was almost exclusively caused by Eastern Euros) got so bad that stars had to intervene, the stars rb changes are due to 99% of Belarus and Ukrainian accounts being SN+ and there have been HUNDREDS of Russian and Ukrainian accounts that have been banned for botting over the past couple of years. How many Canadian/Australian/Sweden accounts have been banned? Not only did these accounts suck out so much money that cannot be replaced and that hasn't been fairly refunded, but the people behind them won't be facing any criminal charges either. And coincidentally, whenever an account at meaningful stakes get banned, a new screen name from the same country pops up out of nowhere and starts winning! I am not trying to suggest that every reg who lost the flip and was born in the wrong side of Europe is a complete **** and shouldn't be allowed to play, but you cannot possibly suggest that people are just "whining" for pointing out that a significant chunk of the Eastern Euro poker population have done/are doing a huge amount of damage to online poker.

My stereotypical view when I hover over a player and check their country:

Canada - Full of break even - slightly winning regs
Russia - quite polarised, a large number of winning regs or massive whales
Australia, China - lol
Brazil - barely breakeven regs or fish
UK - winning regs or passive fish
Slavic countries - breakeven regs with a small handful of winning ones
Scandinavian countries - all losing regs or fish
Countries which you didn't even know was a country (e.g. FYROM, Faroe Islands) - lol
Argentina - Slightly winning regs
Everywhere else - most probably fish

Russia by miles.

The short stackers aren't a problem in the ssfr pools imo, most of them play ******edly loose pre and are going to lose vs. you if you have half a brain to stick any two cards against their 20% 4BR and print

Got a bit left selling for EPT Barcelona at 1.3. Lemme know if anyone's interested. Gunna be a super soft field compared to most big events. Cheers

2.5% €172.50/$195
5% €345/$390

No offense BenaBadBeat, but is this really a place for selling action? I can understand that you want to sell for an EPT (especially at 1.3 ), but this is a thread for discussions regarding developments at Amayastars and not a marketplace.

We will all know online poker is finally dead when the first dude tries selling a lawnmower or something similar in an Amayastars regular thread.

excuse me sir, i think we have a problem here. i'm gonna have to escort you from the premises.

Lawnmower for sale. Black and Decker, 3-in-1, Trimmer/Edger/Mower. Very good condition, $100. Would make excellent gift for Mexican, or any ex-poker player looking to start own business.

Also, Kerplunk $10. (Unopened Amaya Hall-of-Fame 5 Million VPP Award.)

1.3 seems a bit steep though with the new 20% payout structures
08-22-2016 , 05:56 PM
1.3 seems abit steep general unless your name is either fedor or daniel...

Its also not really a big mystery that teh expansion into soviet union corrupted teh entire ecosystem and its teh mainreason its failing.
Russia is also only a minor problem bc russia provides incredible amounts of whales as well. Ukraine, belarus, latvia, estonia - all those countries have zero fish

Ben has been a member here for years and is well known in the community. I have no problem with the very very occasional offer of action in here. If it was a weekly thing i would ask people to move it to the marketplace but seeing as it's not then I'm not sure why you;re so affronted by it being here.

Sorry to cause offence halycon! @hurt, this tournament is in the top 3 softest timbey behind the main event and Aussie millions. I asked a lot of people before settling on 1.3. I was advised to sell at 1.4 initially but felt that was too high with my limited tournament experience.

Edit: sold out!

Yea, fair enough. It probably seems more steep on paper than it actually is because you can't really compare a regs potential online roi vs live roi.
