all they've said so far is that they're not making any promises.

A couple of years ago when reporting these table campers stars notified me that they were warned and i really stopped seeing people doing it.
The only reason this is happening more and more these days is because stars stopped giving a fvck and basically ignores complaints.

I still do it and still nothing happens

for a warning to be effective, you actually need consequences if you ignore it

I'm fairly sure there's people here that wouldnt be sitting out if others didnt. I really find it disgusting when I play 3-2 handed with 4-5sitouts I usually end up sitting out myself or I simply leave the table

Not necessarily. I agree that if people ignore the warnings then we do need consequences but i would imagine that if someone gets warned and told that if he keeps doing that he will be banned for X days or w/e, then that alone should be effective and people would actually reconsider doing that again.
The point i was trying to make is that it seems that nowadays stars don't even bother looking at the HH's and screenshots and therefor no warnings are given.

lets just call this site AmayaGambling from this point on, not PokerStars, cose it really has nothing to do with pokerstars okay tyvm

i don't understand why people are complaining about some minor issues at stars like having a few tables that have people sitting out, a 1% decrease in rakeback for some players etc etc. what people have to understand is that the site development team put in A LOT of time and effort making constant changes to the software, with regular updates, bug fixing and general improvements to the site to make it more beneficial for it's players. the support team also works hard regularly answering customer feedback.

i know some of you know already that i am well acquainted with someone who's fairly high up in the site development team, but that's irrelevant here. my unbiased judgement is that the pokerstars team has worked extremely hard to consistently maintain their position at the top of the market, few sites even come close to being competitive. you guys should be grateful you even have the privilege to play on the site in the first place, instead of moaning about every little thing.

if these issues are major enough to significantly hinder your play on the site (which does not seem to be the case for the majority of issues here) then you can just leave and play elsewhere. but if you're reasonably content playing on the site then just be happy with what you've got and stop complaining!

rant over /

Jesus christ Tom. Some ppl have been in the poker world long enough to have actually experienced how things have been/could be run.

tempting to edit the nonsense in that post.

i hope you're not one of those mods who abuses their power, like the police sometimes do in america (or are portrayed to do). but let me know which parts of my post you wish to edit, and i may give you my permission depending on the circumstances. i admit there may be instances in my post where my wording was slightly imprecise

Tom, did you stop and think about the implications of posting something like this before you hit the 'submit reply' button? I'm staying out of this one but I think your rehabilitation as a poster on here is gonna take a hit again.

He's got a gun... pew pew.

Your post is both patronising and arrogant. You basically state how us mere mortals aren't privy to the information you have from your friend (that was your first mistake, some of us are and honestly, no one cares if you know anyone there).

Your argument is also rubbish, people should 100% kick up a fuss if they are paying more for a service and receiving a worse experience/service, which any rake creep is. why is this difficult to understand?

The fact that other sites struggle to be competitive is not a ringing endorsement of pokerstars current practices. Stars was built upon reputation, now it basically runs on sheer numbers/popularity rather than it's core service. There are better run sites out there that just don't have the historical reputation like stars (hence don't have the player pools and will almost never get the player pools that will allow them to compete).

Also, absolutely no one gives a **** if you think we "should be grateful you even have the privilege to play on the site in the first place, instead of moaning about every little thing. " No we ****ing shouldn't you arrogant little ****. It should be a right for almost anyone in the liberal world, the fact it is in some places and isn't in others doesn't make us lucky. In fact if you had half a brain you would realise it means that we're all unlucky. So yeah, heed the advice of the other people telling you to pipe down. Please don't bring the same rot to this forum as you did to the micro one.

i'd like to apologise for my previous post(s). i didn't think properly and i know it was probably at least partly if not completely flawed an argument.

it's a saturday night here in nz im kinda tipsy i'll admit, not really thinking straight. i tend to be more passionate about things when i've had a few. so i'm sorry, if i was sober this would never have happened, pls forgive me

edit: also i give the mod my permission to edit my post as much as they want

I think everyone knows Stars isn't the company it used to be. Amaya quickly destroyed a strong reputation built over the years by Isai Scheinberg. I had the pleasure of discussing issues with him during our meeting at the IOM not all that long ago, and it was very evident that he cared for his customers and cared for the integrity of the game.

Stars no longer care. Stars always had a great team of ex-players working passionately for the company on a game they loved- it can't be so easy for them now that their company policies have changed and their focus is no longer the player, but profit.

So, no, we should no longer be appreciative of Stars just because someone in customer services is working hard answering an email.
