I thought table starters was a complete failure. All zoom and table starters will kill the games completely.

They should start by banning seating scripts already. It shouldn't be that hard to do.

I read somewhere that the all zoom/ts thing is for high stakes only and they have no intention of rolling it out for anything lower. Seeing as they seem to have also said that they already know what they're going to trial at the other tables, then it seems like zoom/ts is definitely not what we're going to get at micro-small-mid stakes.

Yeah, They said they are going to trial it at high stakes. I kind of assumed that meant if it was successful then it would be rolled out at other stakes... otherwise why trial it in the first place. Only under the assumption that the problems they are trying to fix at high stakes are also the same problems that are occurring at midstakes and small stakes. Either way, their solution solves nothing as it is.

Lolwut? That solution solves all the problems just because most people ITT are bumhunters and would be hurt by it (mainly because they're part of the problem) doesn't mean all-zoom is a bad idea for stars and the overall player pool and health of the games.

Solves all the problems? people will now script to be the quickest on table starters and also script the tables that will currently be running. It doesn't solve anything, It just moves the goal posts slightly for how they will script in future.

It doesn't hurt bumhunters that much at all in fact, It hurts table starters way way more.

As for the health of the games improving then that really is a mute point, it's impossible to say the health of the games will improve, my gut feeling is that it will cause quite a few recreational players to leave (those who do not want to play zoom and those that get fed up of waiting for a table to start).

King10clubs responded best to it.

I can only imagine how infrequent tables will start if the fish don't even have a table to visually see or a seat that they get to choose. I think this will destroy ring games and many fish will look to other games to play with their money.
One of the unintended positive side effects of scripts has been the amount of regs that actually start tables these days. I think there are more regs willing to battle other regs than any other time in history at mid-high stakes games on stars. There are loads of reg tables running with 1 or 2 open seats at 3-6 and 5-10 now because they want to insure they get a seat at the table when a rec does sit. So stars is making all this rake that they didn't used to make from regs. Tables are constantly filling because recs have tons of tables already running that they are able to take a seat at. Not only will stars have less tables running if these changes are made, but your also hurting your high volume regs who have been starting tables for your site for years.
If you don't want to ban scripts that's fine, but please don't ban regs from creating tables. This is a lose-lose solution for the site and it's players.

And zoom only would probably be financial suicide for stars.

Yeah I agree with him on table starters. Still don't get everyone being so anti zoom though it has the exact benefits that hurt table starters fish immediately get to play at a 6 or 9 handed table and don't have to wait and type zzzzzzzzz all the time.

so about 3 months ago my laptop started lagging while grinding to the point it was unplayable with 8+ tables, i tried a million virius scans, c cleaner, database vacuum, windows reinstall, the lot, none of it worked so i bought a new top of the range laptop

now 3 months in and im gettin the same ****, as soon as i get past 8 tables its unplayable, seems to have happened overnight, was fine up until a few days ago. Tried vacuuming database but that does nothing, any advice before i spend another $2k on a useless laptop? (cant get a pc as going travelling)

^ Sometimes it's dust in the laptop fan. I had youtube/streaming and video games serious problems and it all went away when I cleaned the fan (removed dust).

Heh ^

I'm not tech by any means but sounds it might be something simple like overheating. Most people don't realise it but using your laptop in bed or on the sofa with a blanket over you etc totally ****s it up. It blocks the circulation of air and it let's a tonne of dust and fibres get inside which all adds up to overheating and then lag and other problems.

Try something like this (make sure you get the correct size) before spending another $2k on a new laptop.
