How do you get 2.8%?

5.5 --> 5 is a 9.1% reduction.

What I did was a calculation based on 40.000$ rake made (aprox what I expect to make). With that rake I make 200k VPPs instead of the usual 220kVPPs. So this means no extra milestones. Just that i lose 70k FPPs (20k*3.5) what is equivalent to 1120$ less rakeback at the end of the year.

5.5 VPPs (w/40k rake made) = 1.2k stellar + 2.6k milestone + 12.320$ fpp value = 16.120$ (40.3%)
5.0 VPPs (w/40k rake made) = 1.2k stellar + 2.6k milestone + 11.200$ fpp value = 15.000$ (37.5%)

40.3-37.5=2.8% reduction

That was my calculation. Maybe I should take into account the % of the next milestone which would be 560$ less cause 20% of the 300k VPPs Milestone, but still would be a 4.2% reduction not 9.1% at least for me.

But obs your calc is the obvious one. Aside from the 2.8% reduction i will also have to make more rake to get to the 200k VPPs but I just see that as a bit more work.

so your rakeback went down 2.8% percentage points which is 2.8/40.3 = 6.95% reduction in rakeback

All else being equal (same VPPs earned) it's a 9.1% reduction in rakeback.

Depending on one's precise volume, it could be a little lower or a lot higher.

E.g. In your example it's a 6.95% reduction, as pointed out by Lessu, but another example would be someone just missing out on that second milestone, which would result in a far higher loss percentage-wise of close to a 23% reduction. In reality, the average loss is probably around 10%, at a guess.

Yes, I calculated over the rake not the rakeback, true. But IMO at least it more important.

Regarding what you say meleaB that´s true, that´s why I also said it requires a bit more work to get to the same VPPs than before.
