trickett taking it down

The one drop has got me thinking....

would there be any interest in a ssfr charity thread... here's what i was thinking:

-open to anyone
-everyone commits a % of their winnings to either a charity of their choice or one of a few options, something like that
-at end of month post graphs and donate
-whoever has most winnings (either overall, or in each % group) gets some sort of cash prize from the pooling (probably a horrible idea in hindsight)
-post ss of donation screen, make a positive difference in the world by playing poker.
- ppl could gamble, x-book etc.

i think this would be a great way to encourage everyone to give back (whether they are shipping 5figs or grinding rb) amongst the commoradory etc.

i'll pledge 5% to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America http://www.alzfdn.org/?gclid=CI6GkLa__rACFYcBQAodjyd1Fg for my profits this month. can get the info. probably the least selfish thing ive done in a while.

so everyone would donate to their own charity and its not a pooled moneypot that goes to one charity?
i give to charity but the amount i give has nothing to do with my poker month or something, so dont get the connection between those two..

it's just another way of giving back

how about a 'poker players w/o rolexes charity'?

I can't win anymore just cashed out my role and self banned for 180 days. All i have done for the past 4 months is pay rake and broke even. Back to school for me before its too late

I swear I don't know anybody in this thread anymore

Anybody know if Esfandiari had all of his action, or what % he had? Same for Trickett
07-04-2012 , 01:19 AM
I'd assume neither of them had more than 20% of themselves. Tricket could have had more, but Antonio, no way.

commentary on the stream last night was pretty annoying. guys were overly loud and constantly trying to talk over each other.
I could swear I heard Mueller and Hachem snorting coke in the booth, then babbling like maniacs and gaying it up. Was pretty funny.

Possible you're thinking of Sexton? Read the same thing about him in an article in the WSJ iirc

Live stream about to start:

http://www.wsop.com/2012/live-video/...aspx?TID=12154

I don't know Dankness personally but I hope he wins. His opponent is Brazilian. I have nothing against Brazilians- just Brazilian poker players; they always have a large national flag draped over them, annoying fans, they like to slowroll. and they have no idea what they're doing.

hey dudes, computer noob seeking help.

looking into upgrading my computer and getting a 30 inch. advice appreciated. which brand is the best to get? (dell or samsung?). also what kind of computer/graphics card is needed to run this monitor?

and i think already know why but what are the reasons to not grinding on a 46" TV, etc. is it cuz TV's won't give you the high screen resolution/pixels as a 30" and while you have a bigger screen you will end up fitting less tables on it. <--asked just in case cuz roommate was playing diablo 3 on his 46" and it looked good haha.

thanks all

i think a lot of graphics cards will handle a 30, just make sure there is a DVI port. i would get a 500+ watt power supply or more since they arent expensive and better to overbuy so you can keep it for your next build
