As to why people prefer regular tables the obvious facts your aware of are what keeps people away from zoom. In zoom you go on autopilot much more often and don't really work on your game as much IMO. I feel like I have a better chance of moving up in stakes if I just stick to regular games+ if you get used to no table selecting and there is no 200NL zoom running you got no place to go when you want to move up.

Yes for this year (ie. since starting to play full time)

To win more than $4k a month at 200 you basically have to be ivey. Constantly bluff-raising rivers in 347653678 bb potz with BloCKeRZ whilst simultaneously break dancing etc.

Recently, my winrate has been very small, and the games in general are very poor. So many negative changes that have happened:

Severly decreased player pool
Increased reg:fish rato
Loss of fish to CAP games
Infestation of short-stackers
Severly reduced rewards
Etc.

-----------

And a second questions for the regs:

What in particular do you dislike about Zoom? Why don't you play those games?
I played rush before I played 9max, ironically. I don't play zoom mainly because of the small/non-existent player pool @ 200 and above, and I've grown accustomed and begun to enjoy 9max much more than I ever enjoyed rush/zoom.

I was thinking NL100 & NL200.

Oh NM then

To me, even if I haven't played this year (will be back in a few days though) one thing that seems irritating playing zoom is that it may be hard to mix it with regular tables? For those who 24table exclusively FR and stack tables, since FR on zoom only runs up to NL100, you have to mix it with regular tables, but I've heard the zoom tables randomly pop up when you stack with regular tables and this seems a little bothersome to me even if I haven't tried yet to see how bad it is actually.

Just had to shut down my session after 25 minutes of play. There are legitimately only 4 fish at the 100nl FR tables :S

I'm sitten right around those numbers for 100nl & 200nl per month with bonuses. Spring Break Cabo 2012 sorta rocked my yearly monthly average once Eaglesfaan1 AKA "Uno Mas" had me gettin drunk every night for 3 weeks in March with maybe 18 year old classy females on vacation.

Vpp Count...

Had a rough start to the year with bein sick for a while, then Spring Break got me real good, but I'm startin to turn it around and heat up, there is def a lot of money to be made at 100nl & 200nl fr still imo, especially at 100nl.

257k hands this month? wtf

I know its only like 7-8 hours a day but still, must drive you insane...
06-28-2012 , 12:39 PM
Also, I don't play zoom because I think it's sorta too mechanical for me, there's not really too much "feel" or "dynamic" from what I perceived from the little zoom I played, seems to be a lot more math related than non zoom due to the lack of dynamic and constant table/seat changing, and since I use my 5 fingers to count to see if I have a straight atleast 3 or 4 times a session I don't think that's my cup of tea.

Seriously how the fk do you play so many hours and not jump off a cliff. Even with loads of adderall I cant come close to that many hours/month.
06-28-2012 , 01:34 PM
right now theres more cap tables being open then full tables, you clowns need to quit dick swinging over who can open tables and how many and just make sure the right ones are being opened
06-28-2012 , 01:43 PM
because if there's 40 cap tables with 1 different moron sitting each and 20 full tables with 1 moron sitting each, the fish are more likely to join the cap tables?

Well, I only properly started playing above NL200 this month and I played overall almost 95% of the hands this year at NL200. Also overall I made ~$50k profit this year before vpp out of which ~$47k have been made at NL200. So maybe I qualify after all :-)
