I've just started to experience symptoms of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. It could be caused by wanking, but it's probably due to grinding. (I have tingling in the tips of two fingers of my right hand.) I plan to research the condition online, but thought I'd ask here first to see if anyone else has experienced this.
05-19-2012 , 11:38 AM
yeah, i had a good sized lump for on the back of my wrist to boot. i tried the evoluent vertical mouse (google), it gave me shoulder/back pains but maybe that's just b/c of my level of (non)fitness. then I got the logitech m570 trackball and I'm NEVER going back. no more wrist pains and my lump is all but gone
05-19-2012 , 11:52 AM
Cheers. I'll take a look at the trackball. Do you find it easy to use multi-tabling? Is it as precise as a mouse?

just fight through the pain like a man

how sure are you that it's CTS? pain usually begins in the wrist/thumb area.

anyway, this solved my problem.

For people who cant see HH above.
Considering he was drawing dead, he certainly added a bunch of misclick equity. You won the hand but he really won.

Well, I'm not a doctor but I've ruled out athlete's foot and genital warts.

That wrist rest looks good, I'll order one. Cheers.

it's super easy once u get accustomed to it. I mean obv at first you won't be very good at it, but after like a week of a few hrs/day you'll become quite proficient. As for accuracy, it's pretty spot on for poker and i've read ppl saying they prefer it to mice when doing graphic design which says a lot I guess.

If you play stacked you prob wouldn't reap the full benefits, but for someone who tiles over 2 monitors i just LOVE being able to flick my thumb over it and have it literally fly from far edge of one monitor to far edge of the other.

Not to sound like a fanboy, but I've had wrist pads and I don't think they address the problem of wrist movement. Like they offer support, yeah, but your wrist still moves. I'll take thumb moving over wrist moving any day

Everyone always says how great this mouse is, but it seriously made my wrist feel worse.

I know you will laugh at this advice - and it will certainly take some practice (maybe not doable with as many tables as you play) - but you could learn to use the mouse with your left hand. Years ago I broke my right hand and had no choice but to learn. Now I have two mice and switch hands all the time during my sessions. Cue the ambidextrous jokes
