has anybody calculated roughly what the BBJ rake is in ptbb's
01-10-2012 , 10:56 AM
i did this yesterday for 100nl and found out it was like 1.25 ptBB i think. ppl in skype chat can correct me if that isn't the number I figured out but I think it was
01-10-2012 , 11:12 AM
Confirmed 1.25pt was the result from calculations.

Feels like I've had a BCP check pending for a long time, anybody had one approved recently?

I feel like I'm cursed on merge. Keep lossing with 95% eq.

Remember how we used to send $1 to Daniel Nergranu on stars for run good? Who should we send to on merge?

What abouts if ur W$SD is like 52-53%, but ur WTSD is a meager 21%. Whenever I try to bloof catch ppl I am wrong. WTSD 21% is just turrible but I win money alot when I see floops and I don't feel I'm much of a playmaker post flop

I did it a while back and found that it was about 1ptbb for 15/12 types, 1.25 sounds about right for guys like you who 3bet a bit more and are more willing to be involved in big pots postflop.

I wouldn't worry overly much about trying to hit a specific number, at the end of the day the only thing that matters is winrate. However, the numbers are generally representative of the caliber of player. The very best players at a given stake are usually going to have either w$wsf or w$sd be quite high, or both. This is because they are able to make good folds, value bet well, and bluff well.

That was an awesome game last night. It's nice when the Kings can score more than 2 goals.

My first job interview in 4.5 years is tomorrow. And its at a coffee shop across from the company. Any idea what that means? What the heck do i wear to said style of interview?

On a sidenote, the dream could potentially be dead.
01-10-2012 , 07:57 PM
gl ringer you can wear your CR hoodie if you have one
01-10-2012 , 08:03 PM
just wear what you would have worn to the interview if it was on site, ie the top of your clothing range for day-to-day on the job.

might mean they aren't interviewing a lot of people since it would be weird to have everyone waiting there.

also your interviewer probably likes coffee.

well i usually wear a suit for interview on site but i think i'm gonna go the khakis, button-up, tie approach for this one.
01-10-2012 , 08:06 PM
well the reason why i wouldn't want to dress down is b/c if my read about # of interviewees is right there's a chance you end up walking across the street if the interview goes well and suddenly you're in the jungle but it's not the type of jungle where you want khakis anymore
01-10-2012 , 08:13 PM
very valid point. didn't think about getting walked across the street.
01-10-2012 , 08:13 PM
Suit up imo.

Although I really have no clue, just wanted to say suit up. Only job I ever had was running the cash register in at a golf course pro shop. Didn't even have an interview.
