Re: ***The Official 2012 Merge Regulars Thread***

to those using paypal to sell bcp, is it like all trust based?

from what i remember people can chargeback on paypal and then the receiver of funds has to take the hit for the loss.

i sold intangible goods in the past and accepted paypal and got my ass chargebacked and paypal said something along the lines of they dont cover intangible goods. i assume internet poker chip transactions would pretty much fall under intangible goods as well? and when i read the terms it was something ridic like they had 180 days to charge back

paypal def won't intervene either because as per their terms using it for gambling is illegal. iirc someone got their transaction declined because they put "rungood" or something in the reason. But yeah just deal with people you trust and realize that just because they send first it doesn't really mean anything with paypal. But I've done buncha transactions both ways with regs here and never had a problem.

Re: ***The Official 2012 Merge Regulars Thread***

what other typical overseas methods are there besides paypal?

man so so hard to justify even moderate volume on merge without wires. and so many obstacles from finding enough sources overseas to do transfer business with.

im curious to this scenario btw:

1. you and someone you seem to trust continue a buy/sell relationship with paypal.
2. over the course of a few months you end up selling him mid 5 figures in merge chips.
3. he finally pulls the chargeback on your ass cuz, although he was a good guy initially, he has a gambling problem and lost it all on merge blackjack.
4. you have been withdrawing from paypal this whole time and thus, only had like 5k on your account when paypal freezes u.
5. how is paypal going to get their money from you??? like do they have legal power to force u to pay back 5 figures?

what im saying is you guys are probably less afraid cuz ur doing like 1k or so at a time and you can take that loss. but i think the terms on paypal say u can chargeback after a ridiculous amount of time making a longterm scam/or unfortunate change of character in a person very feasible and dangerously risky even if they are seemingly trustworthy? just dont want my fellow 2p2 getting hit badly by what i see as a very easy scam, i.e. all transactions done months ago cant even be 100 perc confirmed have been successful.

I switched from RPM to BCP 2 months ago. Still haven't recd my RPM check. They say any day now. I've cashed out via check a few times, and Green Dot (which is a pain in the ass IMO, they charge you to get it out of ATM and it's like max of $100 a day or something so you have to do a bunch of transactions)..but looking for a better and quicker way. Need to cash out again soon..

thats why when ppl send you money on paypal you cash it out to your bank asap. once it's in my bank paypal can suck my ****ing chode if they want a chargeback.

also i don't know why we are talking about chargebacks on an open forum that i'm sure lots of scumbags read who may not have known about chargebacks.
