You guys need to get together and open a pron website where you pay some "girls" to perform on camera. If you're going to shell out the dough, you might as well try and get some subscriber fees out of it. And you can use social media to promote it. I mean if everyone you know has 200 FB friends, and you get Ihave1000FBfriends (whatever happened to that guy?) to join, you'll have most of the non-busto world covered in a few degrees of separation.

How does that site work? I hate facebook and I think twitter is even more ******ed, so my knowledge of it is limited. Every time I'm at a social gathering, there are always a few idiots who are glued to their iphone looking at that stuff. Um... when you're with people live, maybe you should spend some time with people? Social media has got to be one of the biggest drags to personal productivity out there.

The idea behind the site is to profile social personalities and connect them to advertisers in similar fields. Advertisers can pay these personalities to tweet a message for them to a network of people who all have similar interests.

As an example, conquistador28's gf runs a very successful health and fitness blog, so naturally, a lot of her followers are into health and fitness. She would be someone we could connect with healthy food products, gyms, workout gear, etc. The advertisers would know that their message is reaching people already interested in what they have to offer.

I do agree that social media is a pretty big detriment to actual social interactions. I myself rarely use facebook or twitter, and its beyond tilting when hanging out with friends and they cant leave their twitter alone. I think i heard a stat once about the average amount of time an employee wastes on these things and it was apalling.

With that being said, I think our idea has potential in an untapped market and im pretty excited to see where it goes

It's a different kind of intelligence IMO. One of my best friends, dumb as a rock as far as book smart, reading, math, etc. Just about failed out of HS. Got a 15 on his ACT (don't even know how that is possible), failed out of comm. college. Now works in sales and makes 250K+ a year. Dude can barely read, but he's great with people

Our society places a high value on extroverted people. Introverted individuals are often seen as outcasts and anti-social which are both viewed as negative traits. However, there are many different forms of intelligence and people don't always place them in the same order when they're evaluating them.

the value has a lot to do with reproductive fitness. ppl who are good at talking get laid moar.

im not sure i follow you. its not that people make the choice to outcast others with low social skill. it is what it is. its just like people dont choose to be attracted to attractive people, they just are.

what i find interesting is it seems people with well above (overall) intelligence dont seem more likely to have higher social intelligence than people of (overall) average intelligence. social skill seems to be independent of intelligence. almost like athletic ability or something like that

i could be wrong but my guess is that if you found 100 garbage men, 100 accountants, and 100 rocket scientists who had recently been gunned down by a chick they just bought flowers and gave them the following options for next time

a) do the same it wasnt the flowers
b) nicer flowers
c) chocolates
d) no flowers

i would guess that the #s from each profession would be similar

The main difference is that extroverts prefer to be with other people while introverts prefer to be alone. Therefore, introverts get labeled as anti-social even if they have some social skills. Also, introverts hate small talk so it's easy for them to be perceived as having low social skills by extroverts. Small talk drains and annoys them and because they would simply rather have deep meaningful conversations. However, this rarely happens when you go out to a bar, club, or party so it's not difficult to see why introverts stay home most weekends.
