The nits, who complained about the switch to WC are the ones at fault for nobody backing your protest. They were furious at the switch to WC and had thought everyone would be on their side when they complained, they realised soon after that most people were in favour for it and then moved the goalposts with regards to what they were complaining about and now accuse everyone of missing the point.
I'm pretty sure it was made quite clear from the first days of the organization of the sit-out that the reason was not the switch to WC per se but that pokerstars was not awarding any extra benefits but padding their bottom line with the lost FPP value from high volume players.

Quote:

If they had complained from the outset about the increased rake and Stars keeping the extra money rather than dividing it amongst the fish or w/e, and these two points alone, then more people would have understood what was going on from the outset and you wouldn't have pissed so many people off.
most ppl who don't 'understand' what's going on, or who are 'pissed off' are NVG tards, internet poker morons or bustos. Most of the arguments are along the lines of 'jajaja nits suck' , 'hahaha yay nits gonna lose rakeback' , '****ing nits, games will be so much better without them'

Either way, I have no idea what all that has to do with what I posted, mostly just you going off on a tangent

Well the one thing most people don't get is even the guys playing 32/30 are likely going to lose rb because they usually 3b/iso a lot and cause less flops to be seen. The guys who really would benefit from this are the 32/8's. That said I think when FTP changed my rakeback actually increased although it was super marginal.

Sure they will lose rb but won't their winrates increase to compensate for this?

The argument that the games won't get any better without the nits doesn't wash with me.

I played some 100nl and 50nl full ring games on stars in July/August when ftp went down and the games were absolutely terrible. Other ftp players I know have tried playing there and have said the same thing.

It just seems that the nits, who are the driving force behind this campaign are happy with the change to WC ONLY if they get increased rewards so they can keep playing 10/9.

your logic is illogical. why bring up stars in july/august? what bearing does that have?
how about talking about the effect wc had on full tilt games. did they get softer? 90% of ppl, me included, say no.

and i really fail to see what the prob is with having tons of 10/9s. show me a site where there are 7 10/9 players and one fish per table and i'll insta move my whole roll there.

no offense but you sound like all the morans in the zoo with a postcount < 50 yelling about how games are terrible b/c of the nits and how games will magically get insta better. hint: if u cant beat the nits, u're not gonna win more when a handful of them leave.

i was one of the more vocal supporters of this 'campaign'. i play 18/15 and stand to lose ~20% rb from this.
like whats so ****ing hard to get? stars takes 1 million dollars from nits, tags and to a lesser extent sLAG players and gives 100k back to the loose fishies and pockets the other 900k. how the **** can ppl still talk about nits and all sorts of **** without being able to see this huge moneygrab? Of course i ****ing want increased rewards are u nuts?

i played some 100 then and am still playing now and actually the games were pretty damn good. they are still quite beatable now, but in july/august they were sooooo much softer. yeah not as soft as ftp but so what? ftp = 16 table max, stars = 24 table max, obv reg/fish ratio will be skewed in favour of ftp

We were never going to see changes over night. It's going to be a long time, maybe up to a year before the nits realise that they can't make a proper living out of the game anymore and leave.

I can't remember the exact date FT switched to WC. Can you remember? I do know that the games post BF were ridiculous but that probably had to do with a lot of good Americans not playing rather than nits leaving the game.

I really don't think that Full Tilt, or any other site for that matter is a good example to be forming an opinion on. No other site on the net has as many nits as Stars does. They are an entity of their own and only time will tell.

Ofc I can beat the nits. The problem is it takes much longer to do so. They play such a tight low variance style and 99% of the time you are playing for stacks it's a cooler for one or the other.

My point is that if stars said today, "fine, we will give all the extra money to the fish who play over 40vpip and nothing to anyone else" it's my opinion that you guys would start a new protest tomorrow complaining that the regs are not getting increased rewards.

It' my opinion that it began as a self serving campaign and now you are hiding behind the cash grab angle.
But there are loads of threads for this anyway and I don't wanna derail this one so we can just agree to disagree. If that makes me foolish in your eyes then I'm fine with that

Re: ###!!!The Official 2012 FTP Regs Thread!!!###

so it's 3am and i wanna smoke some hash but dont wanna use the vape cuz it makes ****ton of noise and gf would wake up. dont have pipes, bongs, rolling paper etc. i luck out & find a small crumpled up rolling paper in my wallet from like 4 months ago but i dont have any tobacco or anything to roll with the hash. only option is some dry basil we have 4 cooking. I decide i would rather not smoke dry basil when i notice we have mandarins. long story short i get a mandarin leaf, chop it up and roll it with some hash. was a pretty good smoke actually.
