im on the button with
A10 d
UTG limps, CO limps, i raise pot, both blinds fold and both limpers call.
flop comes
9c Jc queend.
everyone checks
turn comes a King spade. utg raises over pot cut off calls. I decided to call.
river is a 6 of clubs . utg checks cutoff shoves and i fold.
Lookin back at this hand I probably should've raised the turn but I think calling was ok to do also. My friend say's I should raise one hundred percent of the time and calling is bad. I disagree with him. I believe there's nothing wrong with flat calling.
IS IT ALWAYS A RAISE OR IS A CALL FINE ON THE TURN ?
PLEASE HELP ME AND MY FRIEND SETTLE THIS ARGUMENT!
Your phrasing is awkward here. If I'm reading you correctly you didn't check the turn you called. I'm assuming the K wasn't a club as well.
Given you're facing limpers who are no doubt bad players, you should just get as much money in with the nuts as you can. They're never ever folding a T and you can get money from their draws as well.
It would depend on history/reads with the villain and how likely i think it is they will call my raise or bluff missed draws OTR. i think raise would be standard vs population though?
