We play 50NL but the stacks are insanely deep so the hand begins we play 6 handed i am a huge winner initial buy in 80$ current stack 300~$ every other player is stack 3 figures it was around 4 in the morning so they dont pass ever preflop...so everybody limps and i am in the button and look k k and raise to 5$ SB BB UTG call other fold flop is 3 J 4 the pot is 22$ and the SB (the owner of the club stuck 200$ kinda solid and decent player) open shove for 91$ what do i do?i have the image of TAG very good player.at the end i fold because i think that if i am behind i am at 5% and if i am ahead i am around 60-70%.i fold and he shows 52 for the OESD

I call here. Fast.

Don't see him making this massive over bet with a set. If he had aces I'd expect a re raise preflop. and you said it's late and he's stuck -- so i don't give him credit for playing +EV poker at the moment. this feels like a spewy bet with top pair or an overpair or a draw.

You told us what he had, but if the same hand played out again exactly the same way, I think you're way ahead of his range.

Yes I agree with your analysis but is it worth the risk?

If it was a tournament maybe I think a little longer, but in a cash game, based on the situation you described, this sounds like as good a spot to get your money in.

Almost always a risk in poker, but spots like these are as solid as you might find.

Can you clarify your question as to whether it's "worth the risk" because at the moment it's in the top five of most stupid poker questions I've ever read, and I've read a lot of questions.

(For the record you have 70%+ equity vs his range when your opponent open shoves here.)

Snap call pretty much every time (given the game you describe)

The question is what are u afraid of, a set shouldn't be open shoving on a dry rainbow board, there arent many two pair combos u can have given ur preflop open so villain clearly isnt thinking value with this bet, sure u could easily show up with a hand like 5 6 suited from the button if ur balancing ur range well so if he did have two pair or a set why would he not size his bet accordingly and look for some value on ur draws, the open jam screams weakness and maybe a little bit of tilt too

I agree with pretty much everything you said and I regret it to not snap his face and as it seems I still learning the basics

The board is quite dry except for the very low connected cards, if he has a set and you look like a TAG to him he would never shove it flop. Worst he could show is doubles imo, and in this board it doesn't seem too likely unless his preflop range was huge. I would call knowing i'm winning unless he hits whatever he has.
