Hey I'm new QQ vs JJ Hey I'm new QQ vs JJ

Hey Guys, i'm kind of new to poker and i'm 100% new to this site..
I do enjoy playing poker and i'm always striving to do better !
I watch TonnaMunz and Jason Summerville a lot and I just found out about this site.

I don't have any friends that play poker so its really hard for me to ask questions about hands and try to figure out the right play or the what ifs, so im really hoping i can get some help here.

Background : Playing poker for 2 years (1 year serious)
I usually play .10/.25c (4days a week) some times .50/1$ (1-2days a week)
Im 22, Canadian, biggest score 4300$

So basically I just took a risk today playing some higher limits 1/2$, I cant say I was the most comfortable with it but I did continue to play my game even though it was a lot to me.

My main questions for this hand that are sort of bugging me are :

Pre flop - Do i re raise to 30 pre ?
Flop : calling fine ?
Turn : is checking the right play ?
River: after check river should i bet 25-35 for value ?

I no these might be simple dumb questions but like i said before this hand really confused me and I just literally have no one to ask.

Also if this ^ isn't allowed ill type it out

was told to post here :s

welcome to the forums.

you follow a good player. jason summerville has some impressive results.

anyway, i dunno if you use a hud or have stats/reads on your opponents but preflop is going to be determined by these quite a lot. ordinarily, when you are 100bb deep QQ is good enough to 4bet and stack off vs almost all players in these positions. however, being a little deeper makes it slightly more awkward. vs people that 3bet a lot/call 4bets a lot/spazz jam worse hands a lot, we can get it in happily. otherwise, flatting and playing the pot in position is absolutely fine.

beyond this point, the hand is super standard and doing anything else would be a mistake imo. if the board had run out two undercards, though, we can throw in a river value bet for sure.

Welcome to the game . I think you played the hand fine and +1 to what smb said. Posting booms in ok but usually the way people post hands is in text/forum format from their tracking program (holdem manager or pokertracker). If you don't have one of these programs i would recommend learning more about them and getting one. gl

Quit poker mate. Everyone's a GTO megamaster now. If a GTO megamaster met Jason Summerville in real life, he'd take him hostage and duck tape him to a chair with those things you see in films used to hold his eyes open. The things Axl Rose is being owned by in the Welcome to the Jungle video.

Then the GTO megamaster would open cardrunners EV or some boring program like that on a projector and show Jason his 56 line HUD, with stats like "WWSF when opponent skips cbet on turn in 4bet pot". Then Jasons head would explode and the GTO megamaster would laugh hysterically whilst simultaneously rubbing himself off over the latest Sauce video.

Quit poker and live free my friend, run free now before its too late!

I think both calling and 4brtting to around 36$ are good. If u call as u did you call flop and don't bet anywhere once the king peels, so well played

how does doing that changes anything? they have poker tracker advertisements on all live events ffs. recreationals find out about stuff eventually. there is actually little any of us can do to avoid this, since the % of fishes that come and ask for something are so rare, and our impact in their game so little (can't they use the search function?), that we don't make the field any softer by shutting up.

just saying, i think most regs reactions are exaggerated when it comes to other users asking for basic advice.

You sound like a very sensible person. I can over here and asked a question and the first reply was from an idiot saying I should play .10-.25. I have a 20K bank and am hitting the road playing poker as well as online. Why would anybody try to run somebody like me off? If you thought I was a fish, makes more sense to be nice to me and take my money. When I play, I am real nice to all the fish.

nothing in my post was directed to you or has anything to do with this thread, it's related to an issue that has no relationship with the original poster.

I was trying to say you sound like a reasonable person.

Couldn't agree more with iship. Being a good person and helping someone that asks for help > being a troll and putting people down constantly
