February Goals & Progress Thread February Goals & Progress Thread

I had my worst month ever last month, I have totally lost confidence in my game (when you are suckout non-stop, cooler every hands, it's hard to play well, even your C game).

This month, I am only winning (at a very bad winrate lol) because I cooler every regz every hand and because I am way above EV. But I suck and I'm outplayed every other ****ing hand

At least, I am working my game like never, after two years of doing nothing...

Can't wait til im 65 and retired from this ****ing boring god forsaken game.

4 bi downer rki??
02-16-2014 , 06:48 PM
Nope. Nothing to do with winning or losing. This game is boring and does nothing whatsoever for me anymore, i feel nothing regardless of results. I actually find that things are more fun when you're bad at them, because then you have something to strive for. I wish i was interested in poker, i really do, but its hard after 7 million hands or whatever.

Pokers ****ing easy lets be honest. Get $2k's worth of coaching from a random euro midstakes dude and a super HUD and wank off over pokerstove for a week or two and i reckon a monkey could beat most games for a good clip.

I win at 5bb at 100/200 and haven't worked on my game in 2 years. I readily admit i'm awful rofl. I'd love to quit poker but im kinda trapped now. If i quit it would be the UK equivalent of moving from LA to Nebraska. Almost semi suicide :[

Surely there are other people here who don't really like poker too? Driving cars, playing computer games, playing football/sports...thats fun. Jamming kqs vs some Russian **** because you statistically have to just isnt fun.

how about...
-perfect ur work ethic and put in as much volume as possible to quicky build roll
-be a frugal jew instead of trying to live like a fake baller degen
-use large poker roll to get into trading(AFTER you know what ur doing)
-live off double digit ann returns on a high 6/low 7 figure roll
-spend less time making money more time enjoying it

then u dont have to slave away at a 9 to 5 or sit on ur butt grinding poker. u can just live life.

I love how th whole internet believes that anyone with a spare afternoon can learn trading

Oh and poker confirmed best 'job' ever. I like games

Obv lots of recreational traders. Def beatable, just make sure you have good tradeback

I was crushing everything up to NL25FR Zoom, but had lots of troubles adapting to nl50FR.
My red line was going straight downhill and it was always at least break even up to nl25.

I asked x_ROSH125_x, for coaching. But unfortunately he does not coach right at the moment. So I went back to studying and anal-yzing. Adapted my HUD, my strategy, EVERYTHING.

Now I finally feel like I can beat it. And I´m really curious how the first 100k hands will look like.

My favorite pot this weekend:

What if all this is a defensive mechanism - you realise how far you've fallen behind everyone and just how much work you'd need to actually put it to become any better. You're not a dumb guy, surely you understand how bull**** this sounds when you only been playing the most nitty, non-interesting games.
I can imagine myself telling the same thing under certain circumstances (not poker obv).

Find something in life that you enjoy. Then it's not work. Please don't get me wrong there are days that it's not fun but I really happen to enjoy what I do. I then get to play poker in spare time to earn extra $$'s. Life is what you make of it.

RKi v2 - if this game is boring to you. Take time off and try to remember why you started playing in the first place. Move up stakes, switch games (start playing mixed formats more) and play less tables so you get your blood flowing or better yet go sit in a casino and play. You will then come to realize how much better it is to play from your home. You sound like you need a good challenge......

Ty for the advice but fwiw i never got into poker because i enjoyed it. It's easy money, nothing more, nothing less. Tried switching to 6max about 2 years ago, won 10 BI's first day, lost 10 the second. Too much variance. I actually enjoyed it which was a shame. I've moved up in the last 3 months. It's basically no harder, mainly just playing vs the same dudes i've played against for 3 years.

I once went to vegas for 3 weeks and didnt play 1 hand of live poker :P I'd rather bludgeon myself to death :] I actually get angry when i hear people talking out loud about anything to do with poker now.
