Re: 24-Tabling Like A Pro

I've had one database (180k hands, 4 sites) since I bought PT in Oct 06. At what number of hands do I need to start a new DB?

Re: 24-Tabling Like A Pro

fwiw, I have not for the life of me been able to get any of the ahk stuff to work well. I had some crap running the other day to reload my tables and it constantly reloaded all the time without me doing anything and I had to quit a session, which cost me lots of time and caused lots of trouble. Hopefully I can be taught to make the computer work right.

Re: 24-Tabling Like A Pro

I tried the reloader programs too and had the same issues. I just got in the habit of hitting f1 (or hotkey of your choosing) whenever I dropped below max buyin.

Jon, if you don't mind me asking, did SNGs dry up or something? Why the sudden interest in FR cash games?

I don't use any scripts, but if I feel like massively multitabling Stars I will use macros for bet amounts on my Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard. About 9 macro-keys for my most commonly used betsizes is very nice. All I gotta do is select the betting field on the appropriate table and click 1 button.

I just tried to stack 24 for 30 min I can't do it.
I missclicked,timed-out,forgot to reload also not knowing if you won the hand
until the table gets back to you sucks.

Hi stakes SNGs are fairly dry. Also the ceiling on them is way lower than cash. With several SNG guys like raptor, good2cu, etc having transitioned to baller cash players, why shouldn't he be interested?

maybe try stacking 12 to start just to get used to it? I'd be interested to hear how it goes because I'll be switching to stars at some point so i can 24 table and stacking doesn't seem like a terrible idea.

Re: 24-Tabling Like A Pro

I'm giving the trackball mouse a whirl. Just came in tonight, so we'll see how long it takes to adjust. However, I can see already how much better it is for the long-haul.

In terms of monitor set-up, what are people using? I've got a '21 Dell that can't quite crank up the resolution past 1680x1050. It allows me to tile 9 PS tables fully, but no more. Anyone have recommendations on a monitor I could use as the main one and then keep this one as a 2nd one side-by-side?

This is not nearly as important as the statistics you choose, but it is a very important factor in speeding up your player-reading. The 2 seconds it takes you to process a players data can very easily be reduced to 1 second or less with a good intuitive color scheme. I'm not going into very much detail about this, because it needs to be personalized to fit your play. I will say, however, that the standard Red=LAG Green=NIT with shades in between worked very well for me.
i probably should know this by now, but these colors are an option in PT right? Are they done automatically? Do you have to enter in a stat range for LAG and NIT? What exactly do you use to define these players? VPIP/PFR?

Also, in the AHK part could you explain how the syntax of the BetPot AHK works? Here is my post in another thread if you, or anyone else, has time to read and answer. http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...postcount=2602
Please include what type of mouse you use as well.

Lastly, why did you choose to play full ring as opposed to 6max? Is it simply because there are less decisions per table and it is best for your super nitty megatabling ability?

So glad I stumbled upon this thread.

I have decided to work mainly on my full ring game lately and sngs arent the way to do that. Also, the high stakes sngs have dried up and it seems fairly easy to make at least $200/hr 20 tabling $2/4, which is pretty hard to do in sngs now, and if you can make that much, you will have much larger swings than with fr. I am looking forward to the ahk section.

Re: 24-Tabling Like A Pro

I stack 4 full sized tables on 4 monitors tables with a slight offset. (FTP BTW) I can easily get to any table I want with one click. I use FTShortcuts for the bulk of the heavy lifting. When you set up the home position in the right spot, wrist movement is minimal. I can play for hours and not move the mouse more than ½".
