i'd be up for $5 pool on weeks with a tournament with a good field (including this weeks'). although i've never played fantasy golf, or even followed it.

i think a strategy primer by someone in the know could make this league a whole lot of fun. i've been in leagues with 2 pro and 8 dead-money entries, and they are not fun at all. for example, could you give me some pointers on starting vs benching. just very generic stuff, no need to go into advice for this particular week.

although it really bothers me how yahoo sometimes groups the players. i wish they'd split it up more and make more groups with slightly less players to choose from. A group is always so stacked, and nobody will ever get use out of guys like Rose, Immelman, Senden, Elkington, Imada, etc. with the exception of the odd week that a lot of the rest take off. then you look at C group and you can obv tell who will be getting used 10/10 on nearly every persons roster.

I'd do something nitty like $20 for a yearlong as long as theres a few more takers, meh at HU. If nobody else wants in then I'm not all that interested either.

edit- that being said, I wouldn't mind betting for the majors/players, etc., using the Yahoo scoring system. I also definitely think we should do a bracket for the WGC match play if we can get soem interest.

Yahoo golf is really high variance week to week and anyone can win, over the course of a full season I'd say there is a small skill element but provided you recognize the names you're picking each week and always start active players each round you should be fine and have a good chance to beat anyone.

There isn't a lot of strategy involved in starting/benching but I would advise you to check your team each Friday evening and make sure you bench players who have missed the cut as they will obv earn you 0 points on the weekend. As long as you do that and pick players who are playing each week you should be able to hold your own against anyone, its mostly just luck.

I'm going to make a team. Would probably be interested in some type a small bet for both week and year long -- so long as a reputable person holds the $.

This week already started and the field is severly limited anyway but starting next week I'll throw $5 on each week for the whole season if you want. No need to escrow, we'll just pay out ASAP on Monday on Stars /Tilt. Does that work for you?
