After playing those Washington courses I posted about above last weekend, I finished a pretty solid week of golf in Sunriver, Oregon (central Oregon, high desert) this weekend. I started it off with one of my favorite rounds in a while, a twilight round at Crosswater. Crosswater is the marquee course over there, and hosted one of the Champions Tour majors for several years. It also hosted a Wonderful World of Golf match between John Daly and Fred Couples back in the 90s:

Lived up to the hype. I love twilight golf, and the course and setting were immaculate. Fairways were like playing on carpet.
Played it at 6800, quite long for me, but playing at elevation every club was half club longer, at least. I shot an 83, which I was happy with, and with a 139 slope was good for an 8.3 differential.
Friday I played the Woodlands Course at Sunriver, which was a fun and difficult course, but underwhelming after Crosswater. Shot an 86, which I blame on a badly impacted splinter on my thumb (it obviously wasn't my game).
Saturday was the scramble for the convention I was attending. We shot -10, good enough for second place, which I discovered well after the fact since averaging nearly a beer a hole + 19th hole drinks required a little nappy poo.
