Only managed to hit 2 into the desert that I couldn't find, leading to both doubles. Driver was hit and miss today, hit downwind, miss against the wind.

Aside from the fun (but LOL from a golf perspective) tee shot on #1, the sick views, and recreating movie scenes on #9 it's a pretty bad golf course though.

From a course design perspective, my favourite is I think #6, where it's undeniably correct for shorter/higher handicap players to deliberately try to hit their tee shot into a water hazard since they give you a free drop on the other side.

Honestly I knew they filmed at Swan E Set. It's where I golf the most. Didn't even clue in was at Furry too. First time ever teeing up 200ft above the fairway on 1! But yah, checked it off bucket list

35-41-76 - Bears Best in Vegas

2 birdies, 11 pars, 4 bogeys, 1 double

Tied my 9 hole record of -1 35. Also tied my longest into the round of being under par of 12 holes. Had a bad stretch of +5 over 13-16. The double was on a par 3 of 133y. Was on the downslope of a grass bunker. Finally put together a good round for a change. Iron play was particularly on point.

Now I have to hope Dominic doesn't see this or I'm gonna have to give him even more shots on Friday.

Damn straight you will

41 (par 35). No birdies, 1 double bogey.

Only ~ 35 degrees colder than last Tuesday. Hit maybe two good shots. Made no putts. Oh well, it could have been much worse.

I can tell that I have been in Vegas enough to know the breaks of the greens, and more importantly, the speed of the greens.

Need to take a break from golf. Played a horrible round yesterday where I just couldn't find my swing. Mental game was non-existent and by the end of it, my poor showing had really affected me mentally. Like, I was in a real self-destructive mood. I've got a no-drinking bet running at the moment, finishing in 8 days and I was THAT close to saying fk it and getting obliterated.

Does golf affect anyone else like this?

A year or so back I was logging all my rounds here then I just stopped. They were mostly in the mid nineties with occasional rounds in the low one hundreds and even rarer rounds in the high eighties.

Things had been continuing like that until last Monday when out of the blue I shot 81.
I played the hole round with a slightly week fade but putted lights out chipped well and never lost a ball.

2 Birdies, 6 pars, 9 bogeys, 1 worse then double bogey.

5/12 FIR, 3/18 GIR, 27 Putts, 1 three putt, 10 one putts.

Just posting to brag a little and perhaps give a little hope to anyone else stuck not making progress for years.

Not really for me. I can let a bad round roll off my back and be ready to play the next day. I'm like that about most things though.

Yeah glad some are crushing, :thumb. I´m just humiliating myself. Had to skip the 18th as buddy in a hurry to work and the course jammed up, think it woulda been 92-93. And that with okay drives. Irons/wedges/chipping all bad and now a couple rounds can´t putt for **** either. Towards end got a couple of good hits, think I´ve not had the toe of club hitting turf. Going to the course tomorrow and optimistic for some improvement hah, if not I may have to join Team Tilted-postround.

Did break 60F though and sunny, gogogo!

Back to reality yesterday at Boulder Creek in Vegas. 44-45-89.

Started the round 7-3-7, aka triple, eagle, triple. Got a little windy on the back nine.

Same for me 4 ball better ball so i picked up on one hole but the score would have been 90/91, depending or not on my making a difficult up and down.

2 pars, 11 bogeys, 4/5 doubles 0/1 worse.

0 one putts.

40-40 - 80. Tougher course. A big change of pace, everything worked good or at least okay. Two birdies, 8 pars, 7 bogies and one triple. Was nice to have good contacts, phew.

38-43-81. No birdies, 1 double bogey.

Hard to complain about the score but jeez I didn't hit many pure shots. Chipping was awful and the double was courtesy of a fried egg in the bunker. Putting also sucked.

I didn't play well, either...but I did shoot a better score than you! 44-42-86.
And yes, it got damn windy.

You would think I had never played the game before. 42-49-91. 5 pars, 8 bogeys, 4 doubles, 1 triple. Was +15 over the last 10 holes. I really need to take a couple of weeks off to heal my wrist, and now a finger, but that's not going to happen as I have a tournament in a little over a week followed by 5 weeks in a row where I don't travel and will have little work to do.

Oh well, ice and Advil will be my friends for a while.

43-43-86, big improvement over last week, ball-striking wise. Was cold and windy, felt like early March out there. Made my first 2 birdies of the year. Had one blowup hole, a 6 on a par 3 where I fatted the tee shot then flubbed a chip into the bunker.

After last wednesday's debacle, id been fighting the urge to play again. Luckily for me there's been plenty of surf to keep me distracted, but in the end I couldn't help it and played a very casual 9 with a group of mates late yesterday.
Still hit a few bad shots but overall played much better. I slowed my swing down and just focused on making clean contact with the ball.
We weren't scoring, and due to being a 5-some we didn't putt out, or even put a lot of effort into putting for that matter, but I kept track and played -1 to my handicap.

I've been considering avoiding comp rounds for the time being and just playing low stress Social games but I might just twist my own arm into keeping my tee time on Wednesday

Cold and very windy. Hit a few iron shorts that were very solid, otherwise another day of scrape it around, keep it in play. Putting wasn't good.
