That 89% GIR is the best stat ever.

So my last 4 rounds are driving me crazy:

Each round I began with a triple or double bogey and couldn't get going until the back nine. Different courses, too. Annoying.

Have time to hit range balls before a round? Maybe that would get the couple of bad swings out of the way.

Obv came back down to earth from yesterday. Short game was awful but everything else was average to slightly above average. Playing the par 5's in -3 saved my round.

There are a bunch of guys on here way way way better than me. I am just trying to get better, hopefully do a few smaller am tournaments next year. That and I am probably a 5 hdcp anywhere besides my home course.

You don't keep a USGA handicap index, especially for how much you play? It'll tell you your course handicap anywhere. And may be needed in some tourneys, as some will use it for flighting purposes, etc.

I do have a USGA handicap. My course doesn't have online entry set up so I forget to turn in a lot of the scores but I think GHIN has me at 2.2 right now, which is pretty close. The golf season ends here in 2 weeks so not to stressed about them having all my scores since I am not doing any tournaments till next spring.

OK. The way you phrased it initially I thought you didn't have an official index. From what I see you are too good a player not to keep one, so you wouldn't get shut out of some good tourneys where you may need one.

That said, and I know I'm a nit about it, but you really need to post all these scores until your posting season ends for fairness going forward. You'll start where you finish. You should be able to post on GHIN.com with just your GHIN # and name.

I play some spring competitions at my club off index, and the sandbaggers who go south come in over-inflated by only posting bad scores over the winter. This year I came in at a 9.7, CH of 12. Drew a guy in match play who came in at a 15 who is a very good player (no argument he's better than me). I have to give him 3, shoot 78, and get dusted 4 and 3. He shot 73 and did nothing spectacular. 15 my foot. </rant>

100% agree all scores should be posted and if there was a chance I was playing one during the off season I would. I did the whole enter online but got the message your golf club has not enabled online posting. I am going to double check the missing scores and turn them in before next revision and the season officially ends here. Then cry when it stars snowing

That's interesting that the club has to enable it but I guess if the committee wants to review it first I can understand. Though just making them approve after posting should be fine. I don't understand why they'd prevent you from putting it in.

Another weird day.

Boulder City Golf Club...nice first 9, finally. Out in 39 with 2 birdies on 6 and 9. Missed a couple of makeable par parts, though.

Back nine was frustrating as hell. 6 straight bogeys and then 3 doubles in a row. Ugh.

So 39-48. Can't get a decent round together.

Usually, my driver is money. The last three rounds I am all over the place with it for some reason. Driving me crazy. Missed way too many fairways. Even had a couple flubs, and that never happens with me.

Weird round today. The putter was on fire, didn't miss a putt under 13 feet, got a few lucky breaks highlighted by a 80 yard wedge that was way thin almost totally bladed that one bounce hit the pin and came straight down for a 1 foot birdie putt instead of the 65 footer downhill it would have been. Kinda fell apart at the end, 3 under after 15 finished even. Blue tee boxes were closed so they were moved up to the whites. Was struggling with the big left miss off the tee so hit more 3 hybrids instead of driver.

37-43-80. No birdies, 1 double bogey.

Short game was not good, pretty much every bogey was a failed up and down.

Saturday I played the worst I have all year failed to make a single par, hit two solid shots all round and found that id left my SW at a driving range.

I need to let my left adductor/hip/groin area heal up (it's perpetually strained during golf season). So I declared Sunday as my last round of golf. 44-49, 93.

Kind of a bummer, because I got down to a 9.7 this year in late June and thought I'd finally stepped up a level as a golfer. Then I lost my driver and my short game and my irons and have had a real struggle for a few months.

Still, the 93 wasn't a bad way to go out, as it was a decent score considering I hit one fairway, and all my misses were literally 50-100 yards right into the woods. I scrambled well, hit a bunch of great wedges and chips, as well as 2 up-and-downs out of deep bunkers. The highlight (something to think about during the long winter) was a 187 yard par 3. I hit a 4-iron that was on track the whole way and my buddy and I were cheering hard for it to go in once it hit the green and started rolling toward the hole. It ended up stopping 2 inches short right in the jaw. Oh well, a 2 is always nice on the card.

That's probably it for me until a trip south in January or December. Until then, screw you golf. I love you golf.

Got in 18 today. Played pretty well and had decent distance off the tee. Missed 2 greens from under 125 yards in the fairway which is just bad. Scrambled good though, 5/7. Missed 4 birdie putts under 15 feet. They were still working on the blue tee boxes which is annoying they were move up to the whites, makes the par5s even easier, the rest play the same mostly.

41-45-86 today.

Through the first 7 holes, I was 1 over, with 1 birdie and 1 double-bogey. Then it just fell apart. I'm not sure why my game has gotten so inconsistent lately.

Now, I don't know, but I heard somewhere that when you get old you need to keep up the fiber intake to stay consistent.
