Best round in 15 years. Typicaly shoot ~83 on an average slope course.



Three putt from 12 feet for DB on 13 and took a lost ball on 17.

It wasn't a great ball striking day, but it was consistent. Putting was an adventure but I made a lot of 3 foot comebackers. Doubled 17 after getting too aggressive trying to hook a hybrid out of the trees over water -- still left myself with a reasonable bogey putt, which I missed. Three putted once from five feet also. Still, quite happy.

13 putts on the front is pretty sexy, nice round.

massive improvement from the 80 something yesterday, nice.

can't remember where you're from, but if it gets to 34 then it's most likely a place where you don't have to post rounds in the winter. just go out and have fun no matter the weather because it really doesn't matter.

a couple of suggestions from someone that plays year round in the rain and cold: you pretty much can't have enough hat options, and you also can't have enough pairs of rain gloves. i've gone through 4 pair of gloves in a round before because after 3-4 holes i'm wringing water out of them.

not sure if you walk or ride, but the sun mountain H2NO line of waterproof golf bags are fantastic. pretty sure i could spray them down with a hose and nothing inside would get wet.

you might also consider changing out your wedges to a winter set with a different bounce than you play in the dry summer/fall months if turf conditions will be soggy.

In the Cleveland area so I believe the active season for posting scores ends November 1st I think. Good suggestion of the bag, mine is falling apart as is.

I post so many rounds that I don't worry much about hurting or helping my handicap since a brand new one only like 3 weeks worth of golf away.

Just want to stay fairly sharp and hit the ground running next year and hopefully start playing some city and maybe state events.

Played 36 today. I was hitting the ball really good on my approach shots. They were starting online with solid contact on almost every one. I have been almost trying to make the club feel weightless at the top of my back swing and pull the club down then around instead of just around. Very small difference but it works for me and narrowed by stance just a touch. All that has made my irons a touch steeper with slightly lower launch angle but still decent spin.

My short game scrambling wasn't very good today but hit a lot of greens so didn't end up hurting me too badly. Still spraying my drivers a touch though

Great 2nd 18. Was gonna ask your handicap but looked it up in other thread. Pretty impressive dropping 9 points in 2 years. Do you practice often or mostly play?

This is my first year taking golf seriously so that is half the reason I have dropped so much. Before this year the most I ever played was like 20 rounds in a season, that was only once. The 10 years after high school probably only averaged 4 rounds a year.

I mostly play along with on course practice. Was going to a range with shot tracer 2 times a month to dial in carry numbers but now game golf lets me do it on course.

I try to play 4-6 rounds a week for score. I spend 30 mins a day putting almost every day. I spend about an hour 3 times a week on short game and then I do on course practice where I don't score. I will do things like play 2 balls and make myself have to fade one of them the entire hole and draw the other. Some days I try to make my shots harder, under trees ect and practice punches and what not so I probably do 2 rounds worth of that a week. The rest is just mental and focus. My game goes downhill in a hurry if I don't do my pre shot routine ect. Almost all my score are at one course though so probably need to add a stroke or 2 if I play somewhere else.

Played 27 today. Super meh putting and still spraying the ball a bit much off the tee. Decent ball striking though. Really starting to show improvement in approach shots from 170 - 200 yards.

By far my best all around game so far. I hit 3h off of all par 4s and 5s and was smashing it for the most part. Writhing this one out hole-by-hole just so I have a personal record of it.

1 - 363y Par 4 - Hit a good tee shot to the left edge of the fairway (dogleg right). Hit 9i from 153y to the right fringe. Had a downhill slider from 45ft that I lagged to 4ft and made it for par.

2 - 172y Par 3 - Hit 7i to the right side of the green leaving me 40 feet. Lagged it and had a tap in for par.

3 - 394y Par 4 - Pulled and popped up the tee shot leaving me 203 from the right rough. Smashed a 5 iron short and it rolled out to the back of the green about 15 feet away. Made it for birdie.

4 - 398y Par 4 - Hit a great drive right down the middle leaving about 140. Left a wedge short, hit a great pitch to tap in range and saved par.

5 - 310y Par 4 - Should have hit an iron off the tee but didn't. Sliced the drive right into the lateral hazard. With trees between me and the green I had to pitch back to fairway. Chunked a SW, chipped on and 2 putted for a triple.

6 - 124y Par 3 - Hit a gap wedge that fell about 2 feet short of the green. 2 putted from the fringe for par.

7 - 533y Par 5 - Pulled the tee shot just into the right rough. Hit 5 iron to 125y, hit wedge to center of green and 2 putted from about 40 feet for par.

8 - 382y Par 4 - Hit a low pull off the tee into the right rough. Tried hitting 7i from about 180 and hit it about 80 yards further right into the rough. Popped-up a SW 10 yards short of the green, chipped to a foot for a kick in bogey.

9 - 418y Par 4 - Toughest hole on the course paying against the wind. I hit some weak toed tee shot and had 255 to the green. Hit an average 5i to 78y out. (Here is where I get hot) Hit SW to 1 foot for a tap in par.

10 - 352y Par 4 - Hit a good tee shot to 137y out. Shot of the day with a wedge hit the pin, landed 3 feet past the hole, then spun it to 5 feet short of the hole. Made the put for birdie.

11 - 159y Par 4 - Was playing 150y and I hit 9i and tugged it a bit short and right. Hit a great pitch 6 inches short and made par.

12 - 487y Par 4 - Smashed tee shot down the middle and had 235y left. Pulled 3h again and hit it just short of the green. 2 putted from there for birdie.

13 - 322y Par 4 - Pulled my tee shot well right of the tree line and nearly OB. Had a clean look to pitch below the trees from about 80y out. Pulled 5i and left it short of green. With green about 15 feet above where I was pitching from, I hit it to a foot and made par.

14 - 538y Par 5 - Hit a good tee shot to the right side of the fairway. Puled 6 iron to try and leave me around 100y and chunked it, hit a tree, and went further right, nearly OB. Had 170 left, left it 20y short, pitched to 20 feet and 2 putted for bogey.

15 - 376y Par 4 - High fade from the tee and left it in the left rough about 150y. Hit 9i horribly out of the rough and put it in the water short. Pitched on and 2 putted for double.

16 - 403y Par 4 - Hit a really good tee shot leaving me 180 out. For some reason I tried jumping on a 7i and hit it horribly fat. Still had 100 to the pin and hit the middle of the green. Sank the 30ft putt for par.

17 - 195y Par 3 - 5i and pulled it badly right into the drink. Re-tee and hit the green about 50 feet away. Left it 5 feet short but made it for a double.

18 - 414y Par 4 - Smashed my last drive of the day and had 167 left. Hit 7i about 2 feet short and ripped it back off the slope about 8 feet short. Left the first putt about 6 feet short, lipped out and tapped in for bogey.

Lot of good scrambling in the round and the highlight was def hitting the stick.

Today was such a struggle for the most part. Timing just felt off, wasn't hitting approach shots very solidly, just nothing felt good. Luckily I made some birdies on the very few greens I hit.

I found something afterwards with my grip that straightened and went farther with my drives. Played 9 holes from the front tees just to mess around and shot 33 (-3)

I am starting to make more birdies on non par 5's more often but that is about all I am taking from the round. Mostly average ball striking, slightly below average driver distance and below average putting day.

And I follow my 78 from one of the hardest courses in the area with a 94 at one of the easiest. Seriously, this course was 5500 yards (par 70).

Played for first time in a while. Content with the round. Think I've played 90 holes this year maybe. Kept it under 90 anyway with 89.

Putter started off very shaky, greens were top dressed, wet and slow. Once they dried out they rolled much better. Ball striking was solid without being spectacular.

i've started doing this thing where i go to the driving range to practice my swing and where i used to make 8/10 chip shots in a satisfactory manner it has dropped to 1/20

Very windy today, made for some interesting shots. Came pretty close to getting the elusive 300 yard drive a couple of times thanks to a 20-25 mph assist. Double bogeyed the first for the second day in a row, otherwise it was a good time.

Ugh. Friend came back into town yesterday and invited me to golf this morning. Haven't played in two months. Should be interesting!

I shot 48-35-83 on Saturday. Why do I do this? I was actually -2 through 8 and sitting 120 yards in the middle of the fairway on 18 and hooked one and made bogey. I think the idea of shooting a 34 after a 48 got into my head. I hate that.

69 meaning my last three rounds I shot in the 60's, 70's, and 80's.

My care levels greatly went down after 3 putting #9 for a bogey to shoot 40 on the front. Triple and a double on the back 9 to shoot 41 (with 3 more three putts on that side). Lame sauce. I think that's one of my only rounds in the 80s this year.
