So i have dropped the drivers and 4H as they really are never ever needed on a 5900 yard course.

Front 9 (Par 37) shot 61. I can never take the right club. Perfect irons that are a club too far or too short costing me. A million skulls with the wedge saw two 9's and a few 7's despite decent ball striking tee to greenside.

Back 9 (par 34) shot 39 with 5 pars.

+24 to +5 loll 100 total

Need to invest in a 60 wedge with low bounce asap. Im sure this is why i am skulling my 56 14 bounce

Sidenote- Wind was ferocious, was aiming my 6i tee at least 100 degrees right of the fairway and watching the wind bring it back perfectly into the centre of my fairway. Was great

Upon further review (Google Earth) and measuring my paces, my drives of 316 and 327 look to be 310 and 312. Sounds way more reasonable.

Found out my paces are off by 13% What I pace off as 27 feet turns out to be 30.5 feet. So I was a bit further from the flags than I realized. The good news is, I'm a better putter than I thought! I've been under-estimating my putt distances by 13% for the last couple years.

Also the pin on my long drive was closer than center of green, by about 10 yards. Anyway.

Two rounds in last week. Shot 38 then 46, next day I shoot 37 and 45 on back 9. No clue why I get so lazy or tired. I did hit the fairway on my drives 20 out of 24 in those two rounds. Created a swing routine before each shot and slowed my swing way down and accuracy went way up losing very little distance. Ave now about 265 to 270 off the tee.
I tee off in 8 hours lets see how it goes.

golfed really good for me, but it was weird it felt more like I was actually a good golfer who was golfing kinda bad.

36 (par 35). 2 birdies, 1 double bogey. Super short easy setup. Left the driver in the bag, didn't need it. Irons felt great, only missed one fairway.

94 same easy course. Best score on it yet though. Fun

Shot 80 at Rush Creek Golf Club in MN. Played it from all the way back at the Duncan Tees, 7,306 yards. Rating: 75.6. Such a great test of golf. One of my favorite courses in MN. Defiantly in my Top 10.

Went straight from my car to the 10th tee. Ended up starting out with a double-bogey 7 on the 10th after sculling my 65 yard wedge shot into the hazard. Other than that, it was all bogies and pars the rest of the way. I was just not able to make any putts outside of 6 feet (Ended with 31 putts), or convert any good shots into birdies.

I would defiantly recommend playing this course if you are ever in MN.

82 tough course. inexplicably topped a ball into the woods on the 2nd last hole. stroke + distance ugh!!! (although there wasn't much distance)

everything really coming together. seems like i have either decent shot at birdie or i put my chip/pitch to with 12-15 feet for par chance. so either par/bogey almost every hole.

driving is really good with a 13 degree. drives just go straight.

everything else good. went back to heavier putter. seems my home course has some really really long uphill putts. get the ball to the hole.

course management needs some work. just because you put it on once from 250 yards doesn't mean you have to try every time you play a hole.

been playing alot lately. really helps with your confidence on every shot. you no longer fear the absolutely horrible shot (although i hit one in this last round)

Nice cool morning with fog obstructing some views on approach shots.
Drove it really well, which is essential from the tips.
Wasn't happy with my putting, need to maybe get a check-up with club pro.

Shot 72 yesterday.

Was -2 after eight holes after making an eagle at par five with a nice drive ~270 metres, nice spoon ~200 metres and a 10 metre putt. Obviously choked hard after that by making bogey on ninth and double on tenth. I'm always so tilted at that point because in order to lower my hcp I need to go on even par and I have to make birdies. Succeeded to make a birde and go on even par, but not really satisfied with the round. 37 points is decent though.

Im playing a 36 hole tournament on saturday. Last year I finished 6th, so obviously I want to get better than 6th.

47-50-97... Terrible back 9 which included a 9 and a 7 on a par 3. Front 9 wasn't great but more consistent and i just missed a few putts.

So up and down.

35 points, which is bad for me usually.

Shot a +4 39 today for another best 9 hole round ever (about the 3rd or 4th in the last 3 weeks), and I actually managed to be disappointed at the end of it, believe it or not. Was +1 after 8 (went bogey, par, birdie, double, par, par, birdie, par) then blew up on number 9 (a hole that i usually par or bogie). My short game and tee shots were on fire today. The first bad driver I hit was on number 8 and I didn't miss a single putt that I felt like I should have made all day long, including no misses inside like 10-12 feet. Got up and down the only chances I had to do so. I really feel like an even par 9 might happen in the near future, at least on one of my two home courses anyway.

Scramble today. Shot 60 (-12). We left a couple shots out there but not many. Still very solid with irons.

5. Two teams at -17. Not a huge surprise, course was set up short, at least 4 of the 5 par 5s were reachable. Something between -14 and -18 usually wins.

yeah the only time I did one we shot 61, was thinking how good that was, turned out not so much lol

44-41=85, counting absolutely everything. Two birdies, five pars, only one triple (par 5, got behind a tree on the drive, up to the green in 4 and just whacked it around the green for a few shots). 8/14 fairways, 6/18 greens with I think four others just off. Easily my best ball striking round ever, especially the back 9. Also played the entire round on one ball, which I think I've only done three or four times.

15 points. I started OK but it only lasted two holes. The worst I've played in years.

Obviously finished T7 after 74, 79. Last round I started with triple and also got two doubles in there. Horrible. :/

new tournament on saturday.

well after my worst round in forever of 105 I came back with an 87

38 (par 35). Started with 6 pars, then 3 bogeys. Had trouble getting a time and had to quit after 9.

Was +3 after 16 holes. Quit when it started raining. New course, was not long at 6300 but was narrow with lots of water forcing to position tee balls well. Wind was 25-30 mph consistently, which I seem to enjoy compared to most. Ball striking was extremely solid for playing once a week at most, hit 14/16 greens with correct distance every shot. Hit 11/13 fairways with one being O.B...but only hit driver 3 times. Greens were tough, not healed from punching and looked like common bermuda from collars that took over than any tiff-bermuda.
