Played Tuesday's round with famous Atlanta Braves pitcher who's scratch and buried me for about 14 bets on the back.

I 3 putted from like 8 feet today and the longest putt I made was 4 maybe 5 feet. I suck.

Also, I have developed a condition that I would like to name ImaginaryCliffitis. It is when you imagine there is some sort of cliff immediately behind the hole thereby preventing you from hitting a chip or pitch anywhere near the hole lest you hit it off that cliff and then, you know, your ball is gone forever. The upside is that you never hit a chip close and never have any makeable putts really. Also, if anyone posts a thread about the shanks again I will hunt them down and kill them as just reading about how they happen caused at least 2 shanked shots today. stabstabstabstabstabstab

74...second time playing in 1 week. Had fun for a change instead of grinding so hard like I used to.

Dumb game might even suck me back in a bit.

77 at a par 72, rating 74.2 slope 140 7600 yards (at 9000 feet) with 5 lost balls off the tee.

So 5 birdies and no bogies besides you know, 5 doubles. So sick of my mental block off the tee.

Fun to play at altitude. Hit a 5 iron on a very downhill 280 yard par 3, and hit my drive on 18 385 yards... whee.

+5 for 13 holes. Missed a couple short putts.

West Mid again made the decision before we started to leave the driver in the bag and use only a three wood and it paid off. Every thing was pretty good. There were three really awful full shots, about the same number of poor chips and a couple of putts I feel I should have made. 89 pretty good for me but after starting with three pars I was hopping to do better. I finished on a bit of a low with back to back double bogeys.

Played at Lost Marsh Golf Course today in Hammond Indiana. Pretty incredible track for being in BUFU Indiana.

Went 42-41 with several 3 putts. Holes 1-5 are virtually floating fairways and I fell victim to a few stray tee shots.

I'd argue local knowledge on that course is worth ~ 3 shots due to blind tee shots, weird sight-lines, and some quirky places around the greens.

yep, first one. first time i've ever holed out on a full swing too. i was so excited i ran down the hill immediately and had to walk back up to get my clubs

38-38-76 (par 71). No birdies, 1 really infuriating double. Got up and down a ton, including the last 3 holes.

More notable for being the first time in years I've walked a full 18. Lol fat murricans, LOL mandatory cart policies.

39 -40-79. 1 birdie, 1 double. Moved back a set of tees, played decently. Double on 18 kinda sucked tho. Chipping wasn't good.

36-35 Even par 71.

First time in my life ever shooting par over 18 holes. Made 10 footer for bogey on 18 after laying the sod over my approach. I would have been so pissed of I made a double on 18 to shoot a +1.

Lifetime goal achieved.

44-40 - 10 (beers). Just wonderful (sarc). I hit it really well , i had 45 putts ( i am usually pretty adequate, but my friends were so slow and had a lot of money on the line (they don't let me bet wtih them because i make them play OOB and let it be a hazard. On the back 9 I hit 8/9 greens with 22 putts.

had a lesson on Friday and the pro said it was a miracle I'm a 13 handicap with the swing I had, so he made major changes that are going to take a while to adjust to. I am hitting my drives 20-30 yards farther now, and my irons off the tee are really good, but I can't hit irons from the fairway for ****, and I am hitting some right of right slices at times. Happy to make the changes though because my ceiling with the old swing was probably about a 10 handicap.

Played my home course from the tips for the first time ever Saturday. 6952 yards, 73.7/128 at sea level. Managed a 39-42 81. I was thrilled given I never hit a driver and got off the tee all day with my 1 iron. The only real distance struggle was #6. A 606 yd par 5 that was playing straight into a 20mph wind.

hit a lot of good putts that didn't go in, hit the ball straight for the most part too, and my wedge play is making major progress, that's always been a weakness.

breaking 80 is within reach!

Played in a tournament with a best-ball format at Angus Glen's North Course (where Jim Furyk won the Canadian Open a few years back). My group shot 76 (+4), with 14 pars and 4 bogeys. We shot even last year on the South Course, so we are actually going backwards.

+3 for 7.5 holes. Getting dark earlier FTL.

81 on sub 6000 yard layout with ridic. hard, fast and undulaing greens

wanted to see if i could score. too many 3-putts and trying to fancy shots when stock 8-iron shot would have sufficed. some nice 5 wood shots. so much better than 3 or 4 iron shots

gotta get so much tighter around green

played Torrey Pines south today. The rough was seriously lolonger than during the US Open. The resulting 6hr pace of play was also rough.
