i was trying on every shot of the 11 too

its a completely blind tee shot over a hill of really thick fescue rough. i hit a line drive into the fescue. two hacks advanced the ball about 30 yards total and still in said fescue.

took an unplayable and dropped on the walking path through the fescue. pulled a four iron off a lone tree and into more fescue. took me two swings to get it back into the fairway.

wedge in the bunker, blast to 15 feet, 2 putt. 11.

Shot my best round ever (86) yesterday 3 days after shooting one of my worst (110). lol golf

I finally broke par for 18 today for the first time in I think a couple years. Worst part is that it was the worst putting display I've had in months. If I putted just average I would've been 5 or 6 under instead of just 1. I missed a ton of 3-6 footers, which are usually my bread and butter.


*brag* I hit 3w on every tee except two par 5's in which I blew it high right into the woods on both.

Shot a 43 over 9 holes without a sand wedge in my bag = 0. I had to use a P wedge instead. Opps. Course par was 35, tee shots could have been a bit better, solid overall round though.

73 Haven't touched club in month. Started dub-bog so good grind. Birdied 9, 17 & 18. That won a few bets.

ok now i just feel like an idiot. i've heard about that multiple times but have never checked it out

Shot 81 today with a +8 front (including 2 triples) and a +1 back nine. Ball striking was top notch on the back nine, short-game was a disaster on the front.

Went out to the course today, spent some time on the range, played two holes, then the rain started coming down and I was stuck behind slow people, so I said F*** this and left. Might have played through it or waited it out had I not started off with a 9 and a 7 on the two holes I played. I just was not feeling it at all with my swing either on the range or the course. Hit a bunch of balls off the toe when I was on the range. So frustrating.

32 Stablford

New Course to me Farleigh. It wasn't too hard but the rough was penal if you missed the generous fairways. I also found the greens very hard to read for some reason.
Started well with back to back pars and kept it going until the eighth when I put my tee shoot right under a tree. I should have declared it unplayable but instead I tried to hack it out took two swipes then took a big chunk out of my PW on a hidden rock.

4/14 FIR, 3 GIR, 31 putts from 16 greens

38 (par 34). It stopped raining just in time to squeeze in nine, tho it was pretty dark the last couple holes. If I could putt this easily could have been a 34 or 35.

shot a weird 46. 4 pars, 1 bogey, 3 doubles, 1 triple. Hit 0 fws, 4 gir, all of which were makeable birdie putts.

basically, I either got in trouble off the tee and doubled or worse or I had a shot and made par. great weather though.

45-47-92 meh.

Weird round where I mostly played like dog****, but managed like 8 ridiculously awesome shots (by my standards). Hit to within 6 feet from 100+ yards four times and had a few of the best drives I've ever hit. Feeling really close with my swing.

Back to west mid. Started well but things started to fall apart around the turn and I blobed three holes on the back nine. Driving and putting were the weak link again.

88 today on a tight course (http://www.robinsonranchgolf.com) which I shot 92 on last week that I thought I could shoot an 88 on. Well today I had ZERO 1-putts and left a few strokes around the green. I really think I should've got it under 85.

Need to work on my wedge game and putting atm. Driver was working nice today.
2 of the fairways missed were using my new 3h cobra club which I still learning how to hit.

42 (par 35). Awful awful awful short game.

88 on a 5800 meter par 72 course. 41 stableford points!

Switched to a stronger grip yesterday after watching a dvd on the swing, booom!, golf is way easier after about 2 hours on the range after the switch.

Played the back 9 first, and that quite badly. Finally figured something out swing wise on about hole 4 or so (my 13th) and played quite well coming in --hopefully I can carry that over. That or I'm reading a pattern into randomness of temporary non-suckitude.

Unfortunately, I've randomly decided to start hitting my irons off the tee straight about half the time. Given that I'm playing for a hook 100% of the time, that means I'm either leaving a monster ball out in the trees on the right, or I'm deciding to correct for that a bit, and then snap-hooking it anyway.

Some awful number. I think I was +10 or something through 7, had to skip #8 and lost my ball on #9 because it was ****ing DARK. Got stuck behind the world's slowest twosome, they did let me through but not until the fifth hole. No swing tonight.

Other achilles was +4 on par 3s when longest was 7-iron, including 2 3-putts.

31 Stablford 15+16

Had to start on the eleventh because the first tee was booked not a nice start its a 160 yard par three with water in front.
Took the Driver out twice and incurred one penalty. I'm hitting it so badly my three woods just as long. Had a very inconsistent ball striking round with a couple of worm burners but putted much better. Got very lucky on the ninth when my drive was miles off line but hit the foliage of a tree and was redirected into the fairway with enough energy left to make the crest of the hill and trickle down. My approach then landed short and hopped over a bunker onto the green.

3 pars, 8 bogeys, 3 Doubles, 4 worse.
