Stablford 19+7=26
44 shots for the front nine. Picked up four times on the back nine.
It was a big improvement over yesterday but things started falling apart on the tenth with a smothered my tee shot. I think I was tired by the eighteenth and made a real mess of it. After finding it so easy to get into my new end of back swing position on the range I cant do it on the course.
1 birdie, 1 Par, 6 bogeys, 4 Doubles, 6 Worse
FIR 2/12, GIR 2, Putts 24 from 14 greens.
askhjfbbjkdsfbj played 9 holes today started off bogey par then holed out for eagle on the par 5 then chipped in on a par 3 for a birdie was -2 through 6 and messed it up on 7 and 8 bogey both. shot level par in the end.
Good lord I hit some incredible shots today in between all of the awfulness. A 335-yard drive right down the center of a par-5, left me a 6-iron in. That was nice, but I ended up bogeying the hole, lol. But the best was a little 50-yard shot with a good-sized tree between me and the green...opened up the 60 and hit a perfect flop-pitch to 6 feet, drained the putt for par. Never got the iron game going en route to a meh 41.
4/14 FIR
3/18 GIR
7 penalty strokes
2 bunker shots
33 putts
2 3-putts
5 1-putts
Huge blowup on 16 where I picked up after 10 shots and wasn't out of a bunker yet. Drove into lake, 4w into lake, long iron into lake, 9I into creek, approach into bunker, bunker fail. Done. I wanted to finish but my ESC is 9 anyway and the bunker was in terrible condition and my clubface was caked in mud/sand after the shot. Weirdest ****ing hole ever after being +4 on the preceding 7 holes.
Managed to par a par 5 that I hit D/6i into. Very short par 5 (450) but ripped a drive 290 down middle of fairway. Normally I'll hit a 7i from 160 but the green was slightly elevated and I wanted to make sure I got on under regulation. Ended up hitting it about 15 yards past the flag up onto a berm behind the green. Downhill berm to downhill green with pin fairly tight, so I putted and hit it weak and it settled in the ****ing fringe lol. Lagged to a foot from there on a tough dowhill R-L to save par. But I've never had an eagle and was looking forward to having an eagle putt, or at LEAST a birdie putt. Ah well.
This was a net -6 for me. Just in the nick of time, too, as I thought my HC was about to go back above 30 for first time in about a year. Ended up going down from 29.8 to 29.3. 3 of my last 4 rounds consist of a net -1, net -6, and net -7 so I'm hopefully trending downward. I played good last summer when it got really hot.
Played the Resort Course at Genoa Lakes on Monday. This used to be Sierra Nevada Golf Ranch until the economy went south. At some point, they flipped the nines and added 6 new holes to what is now the front in order to build more golf course houses (that are largely unoccupied). My frequency of play is waaaay down these last couple of years, so I was pretty happy to shoot 47-43, mostly in gusty conditions.
Front was triple-par-bogey-par-par-par-quad-double-bogey...in other words, standard.
2 Birdies, 2 Pars, 11 Bogeys, 2 doubles, 1 snowman
FIR 9/13, GIR 3, Putts 35
It was at Brent Valley an easier course then normal but I'm not going to let that take the shine off it. It started very badly with me topping my drive all of thirty yards, Luckily for me its an elevated tee so the ball rolled down the fairway. Even luckier it rolled over the bridge instead of going in the ditch and left me a six iron approach which I topped along the fairway. I actually hit two good shots and escaped a bunker on the second before topping my approach on the third. One more unpunished top off the tee on the par three fourth before I sorted my self out and started making good contact.
The snowman came on the ninth I lost a ball off the tee hit my provisional into a fairway bunker hit the shot of the day out of the bunker to right of the green before flubbing my pitch into another bunker. Nearly holed it out of that one but missed the putt coming back.
Back at Brent Valley which I should probably say now is short and has no par fives.
46+40=86
1 Birdie, 4 Pars, 7 Bogeys, 5 Doubles, 1 triple
FIR 5/13, GIR 2, Putts 35 (5 three Putts)
Started just the same as yesterday topped the ball down the first for the triple before remembering how to hit it on the second then forgetting again on the third. It wasn't until the eighth that I started making really solid contact. Pared the hole I had a snowman on yesterday. First time I have had two consecutive rounds in the eighties.
Course just got updated from a 73.5/132 to a 74.7/143. That's a pretty gigantic increase with no changes to the course. Handicap should go down. Am I supposed to go change it on my old scores?
Shot an 88 (44-44) on a par 70 which is my all time best round, previous being 95 on a par 72. Had 1 birdie, 2 pars, 11 bogeys, and 4 doubles. If I can start making 8-10 foot putts I would shoot low 80s or maybe high 70s.
Goal for the summer was to break 90, I want to do that consistently but might as well go for <80 now

I would guess no. Pretty sweet deal for you though. Log a bunch of rounds and watch your 'cap drop. That is a drastic increase.
i started swinging clubs again this year. played twice at this little toy course very close to my house. it's a par-3 pitch-n-putt, with soft bumpy greens. most holes are 65-85, but there is one 115 hole.
i know i suck, but i managed to have my best par3 round last sunday. started double-bogey-double, caused by not warming up at all, and then went on to finish with 5 pars and 1 birdie. best round ever. now i gotta try a course that's requires more than just a wedge to play.
43-42-85. 1 birdie, a couple doubles and a triple. Got off to a good start but totally lost the ability to hit an iron after the third hole. Short game wasn't sharp enough to cover the constant string of missed greens. I don't think I was ever in any significant trouble off the tee, it was all 170 yards and in.
Monday 89 Old Course (including a 10 on the Road hole)
Tuesday 88 New Course (4 double bogeys in a row in first 5 holes)
Wednesday 83 Crail (Balcomie) (back to back triple bogeys in bad weather)
Thursday 85 Kingsbarns (about 48 degrees and a steady miserable rain)
Friday played twice
86 Carnoustie (Championship)
84 Old Course
What a great week even if the scores were so so
One item off my bucket list
