Re: What'd You Shoot Today? (Golf BBV Thread)
Shot a 44 on the back 9 after shooting a 53 on the front, its amazing how much better one shoots once they get their chipping/pitching under control. Its been killing me all year and I finally figured out what i was doing wrong...
I followed that up with a 51/50 and next place I played which seriously irked me but I was playing with a friend of mine who is godawful (he shot a 131 with 2 holes he just quit on and i gave him double pars) He really pissed me off on some shots by walking 10ft in front of me as I am lined up ready to hit while looking for his ball, peeling out the cart while I am swinging etc. Just no golf etiquette at all, really frustrated me and threw off my rhythm waiting for him to top the ball 5 times before I got anywhere near mine.
I felt like I shoot have shot low to mid 90s which would have been my best round ever, I can feel me breaking 90 this year also. The consistency is there like never before and as I learn to manage my game and the course its all coming together.

Re: What'd You Shoot Today? (Golf BBV Thread)
Haven't played in awhile. So I played nine holes today and shot a 48 on a 71/126. Here is how I started...
1st hole: +5 on a par 5. LOST BALL THREE TIMES.
2nd hole: +2 on a par 3. LOST BALL.
Did I set the 2p2 record for most balls lost in shortest amount of time?!

Re: What'd You Shoot Today? (Golf BBV Thread)
52/42=94 today in 90+ degree heat and awful humidity, such an awful day to golf. I always shoot so much better on the back at this course and technically the front it easier. Was the best round of my life so far by 3 strokes also.
Drove to 10yrds off the green on a par 4 313 also, probably one of the best drives of my life, followed by a bad chip and a 2 putt from 12 ft while my buddy holes out fro 5 yards off for a birdie.
Last week he was up 2 strokes through 9 and lost by 3, this week up 5 strokes through 10 and loses he loses by 6. I told him he might want to pick a different course
Most disappointing hole 493yd par 5, I hit a driver uphill into wind 235yds. Was shocked it just died, followed up with a 220 yd 14* hybrid. I used to love the club but now rarely hit it so it was great to hit it so well and accurate the 1 time I used it today off the fairway. So I am 40 yards off the green with a front pint position and instead of hitting the club I usually would I of course get fancy and hit it fat and short, followed by another short tip then a 2 putt for a 6. 4 strokes from 40yards is so last year for me.

Played in a scramble today. We were -14, pretty darn good considering I had the lowest index in our group at 10.5.

Re: What'd You Shoot Today? (Golf BBV Thread)
Played in scramble today also, one I mentioned earlier with my 1 buddy who is a beast. 3 under through 6 and 4 under through 7 but then the rains came and I mean ****ing hammered us to point 80%+ of teams bailed, we waited it out and finished at (-8) somehow with water ever where including puddles in fairways and greens and need to pick every ball clean to do anything with it....
Somehow we didnt finish Top 3 as some team finished 12 under and 2 teams finished 10 under or better BUT DIDNT FINISH MORE THAN 11 HOLES!!!
How they let them place thought they technically withdrew is beyond us, our team was pissed as were fought through the mess and with our clothes stuck to our bodies and slick grips managed to pick up 3 more birdies and no bogeys once the down pour hit. Buncha Bull****... though my buddy did win a putting contest and 2 season passes to a local course for the rest of the year so free golf for us for the next 3ish months.

That's a pretty sweet prize for winning a putting contest.

Re: What'd You Shoot Today? (Golf BBV Thread)
9/14 fairways, 5 GIR (eek), 30 putts
I WILL break 80 at this course this summer. Had my second good chance today (earlier shot 37 on the front, today 39) but blew up on the back both times.

Said valued at $1260 BUT we looked online and regular rates are $10 weekdays and $20 weekends for 18 holes plus its 45minutes away so its not too sweet a prize as its not worth the drive, though we plan on going just to check out the course...

Re: What'd You Shoot Today? (Golf BBV Thread)
38-43-81. No birdies, 1 double. 6/13 fairways, 7/18 greens, 33 putts
Nothing special. Didn't have good feel with anything today, was not happy with the putter. Only hit one really awful shot though (which cost me the double).

weather is pretty terrible for us right now. I still braved it today though and played a 3-ball rumble with 2 friends of mine, 3 handicapper and two 5's. we slapped it around the place for an absolutely dismal score. only nice thing, the greens were so wet, we could really throw the golf balls at the pin. it was getting in range that was the problem, lol
