Shot a super ugly 97. Killed it off the tee and sucked everywhere else.

Highlight off the day was nailing a 3W on a 230-yd par 3 and the club head snapped off and flew about 50 yards. Good times lol. </coolstorrybro>

40-42-82. Actually had a good ball striking day, short game sucked. Don't think I had any one putts.

Hit a really nice 4 wood onto a par5, about 220 with a five yard cut just like I imagined, rolled right past the pin.

Pretty amazing weekend of golf.

Played twice and hit 31/36 greens (same course). Absolutely striped the ball and I can't remember a time when I was so in-control with my irons and tee ball.

Unfortunately, I have concrete hands and managed to have 10 3-putts and only a single birdie

I always struggle on fast greens but I can't remember a time that it was this bad. Every putt seemed to roll by 6-8 feet. Seriously contemplating switching to a belly-putter or something else

Golf is a funny game.

I shot back to back 44s on the front nine of a course near me. The first nine I hit the ball pretty solid tee to green but couldn't make a putt. I counted 6 putts that were makeable. I wouldn't expect to make all 6 but each one was makeable, ranging from about 4.5 to 10 feet.

The next day I hit the ball all over the place and made 4 putts I would never expect to make and one of those I wouldn't have been shocked to 3 putt.

I'm getting closer and closer to break 90 but still not there

First time I played this course in 2years so it was hard to aim from the tee box,
also had a week off and my irons were horrible today, decent putting, good bunker shots (made 1st sand save in my career, all 1st bunker shots landed on the green)

#1 wasn't sure where to aim, made a good drive which rolled into water (+/- 290m), good start

#5 horrible tee shot, 1st putt from ~15m make a 90 degree turn , missed 3footer. could be a par but made a double bogey instead

#8 & #9 OB from the tee

#13 missed 2footer ffs

anyway best round ever

87 on a par 72 which tied my best. but that included 7 pars, 2 birdies, a triple bogey on 16 and a 9 on the 17th par 3. rofl. I swear it wasn't even a choke job..like i wasn't even aware i was doing so well. just a bad club choice from the fairway on 16 and the par 3 was really tough because there were hazards all around the green with a strong wind behind me. It was playing so short i had to 3/4ths a PW which i haven't practiced and i kept decelerating the club and hitting it short into the water. ugh.

But i've reached my goal of the past 4-5 months of getting to a <15 handicap from 25+. golf is a lot more fun now

40+39=79 (Aspetuck Valley CC). Could have played much better. Had two doubles, one on the back and one on the front. Should have taken my medicine but I was an idiot and tried being a hero.

42 (par 35). 3 doubles which were 99% due to dumb mental mistakes. I did chip one in for a birdie.

I've been messing around with my putting lately and my speed control has been a lot better when I look at the hole and as soon as I move my eyes back over the ball I'm taking the putter back.

Shot 75 on par 70. Didnt hit many good shots but I was on fire with my putter!
It started to get dark the last two holes but made birdie and par anyway!

This is going to be a great year, my goal for 2012 was to shoot 82 on the primary Par73 course on my club and 39 on the secondary 9-hole one so one of the goals need to be upgraded a bit. First week of the season.

91 (47-44) on a 6,000-yd par 70. Tons of water, bunkers, and narrow fairways. Legit saw a gator on the 15th. Fortunately didn't hit near water that hole. :-O

34 points stableford in work society outing here - 3 putted on last from 5 feet - would have won on countback if i put it in in one - came second overall and won nearest pin challenge - 3 feet even -

38-40-78. 2 birdies, 2 double bogeys. 6/13 fairways, 10/18 greens, 32 putts.

Best round in a while. Mostly kept the ball in play. Had a couple wayward iron shots but mostly solid. Only one (bad) three putt. Putting was good for once, speed control in particular was excellent since I wasn't that close to the hole on most greens. Birdies were 6 and 12 feet.

Even better, it didn't rain that hard and we never had to stop for lightning. With the way the radar looked this morning I didn't think we'd get in 9.

Now looking for some new blades. Not sure if I want to stick to Titelist, which is all ive had for the last 10 years, or branch out. Anyone know of any good ones on the market?

Which one are you playing with today?
Mizuno´s MP series is a great clubseries to consider. I played with a player the other day who just bought the MP 69s and was very pleased with them.
I play the Titleist AP2s and Im very satisfied with those clubs.
There is a lot of good irons out there outside the fantastic brand of Titleist, the best thing to do is to go to your golfstore for a custom fitting and it will be all good!

Oh I'm so annoyed I was hitting it really well after a recent lesson and felt like id made a brake through and would see a significant handicap drop. Instead I played the worst golf I have in ages couldn't drive, chip, pitch or putt and full shots where 50/50 good or horrible as well.
