and my short game and putting were fantastic today - I one-putted about 8 greens and got up and down for par 5 times. please excuse me while I break every club in my bag longer than my lob wedge.

i haven't hit a decent ball with my hybrid in about five rounds, my driver was a little erratic on the par fives, and I found every possible way to miss the green from the middle of the fairway, 100 to 130 out.

Brag: 41 (+6) for 9 holes in my golf league (par 35, my 9-hole league handicap was 11 before the round)

Beat: Was +3 through 7 holes, hit a perfect drive on #8 and was 130 yards away after my drive, in the middle of the fairway and ended up +6 for the round.
Beat 2: Shot at stupid sucker pin on #8, pulled ball left ~10 yards more than intended, and it rolled literally 6 inches past the OB stake line.
Beat 3: :Probably ruined my golf league handicap which will I think will drop to an 8 or 9.
Beat 4: Did not even win my match as my opponent also was 5 shots under his handicap and we tied 3-3 in holes.
Variance: Not much, 0 birdies, 5 pars, 3 bogeys, 1 double (freaking #8).

Also, shot a 43/46 over the weekend on a 135 slope country club course that I'd never played before.

Playing again this Sunday...I figure while I'm hitting ball better than I have like, ever before in my entire life, I might as well keep playing a lot.

New low today, 50+52=102.

Took the advice from all you guys in the moving back in tees thread and went back to the whites and played really well. Short game and putting were fantastic today except for a 330 yard par 4. I drove it about 270 (one of the best drives of my life) and ended up with a 7 on the hole. I don't know how it happened.. it stopped me from breaking 100, which is upsetting, but I can't be too sad. My previous best was a 109, set 2 weeks ago.. it just keeps getting easier and easier.

39 (+4) today, played well but not great. I'm finally hitting my irons better, woods are still decent.

43 (+6) in my weekly nine hole league on the most difficult of the four nines. One bird, two pars, and one freaking double after duffing not one, but two chips within 30 yards. At least the third chip was to within six inches to "save" the double.

The birdie was nice, pin high, eight feet off the green in two on a 500 yard par 5, chip to about 4 feet, and trickle in the straight downhill putt.

Up to nine birdies this year, after getting only three all of last year. Average league score down by about 1.5 strokes (for nine).

Brag (for me): 43 on a difficult nine, net 34
Beat: Lost to both opponents (nets 34, 33)
Variance: Fifth 43 this year in 11 league weeks.

68 on a par 70, 72 rating. 2 par 5's, birdied them both, and then made 16 pars. that is so ridiculous to me, i almost wasnt happy when i finished.

Shot a flawless 32 on the front nine.
36 on the back with 1 really stupid mental error, and one very bad break (par 5 has a tree in the middle of the fairway, bounced off the tree into the water)

48-44=92 with 4 lost balls. Was hitting almost everything way better than usual today, especially approaches to the green. Putting was really good.

45 after work on friday evening. My ball striking was really good from tee to green but my putting was terrible. Had 3 three putts and missed two 4-5 footers after some nice chips from just off the green.

Wolf. 51-50-101 with 11 short chips and a whopping 44 puts. My short game not goot. OTOH, my ball striking was much better (really really good), and my last 4 rounds have gone 118-114-108-101. I like that trend.

Shot 38 on a Par-33 9-hole course today. I bogeyed the first 5 holes then parred out through the last 4. w00t.

I hit a beautifull 7-iron from 165 yards out on the courses only par-5 to setup a 40 foot Eagle put. Of course I 3-put. DOH.

103..first time going over 100 in a long time, worst round i can remember having played in the last 3 years...had 7 doulble/triple bogeys.

need to hit the range and work on my mid-short irons as my approach shots were horrendous, i think i hit 3 GIR, maybe 4.

on the plus side, i was crushing my 3-wood and hybrid all day.

what a frustrating game. (ill be heading out again tomorrow)

jesus h christ......omg. get on the putting green and don't get off for like a week.

unless you have some insanely huge, hard greens.....anything over about 38 should probably never happen to anyone.

Played 36 holes yesterday in Charlottesville, Va.

Worst round since I picked the game up again last year with a cool 110 at Birdwood, the University of Virginia's course. Couldn't do anyhthing right, really; my ball striking was terrible. I also gave away several strokes around the green, which I credit in part to the new balls I played, Top Flite D2 Feels. I actually liked the ball, but I am used to playing old balls, and this D2s really flew off my clubs. As such, my pitches and chips were a bit harder to measure, and I flew the green on several occasions on easy shots.

I then shot 92 at Meadowbreek. I played a lot better, but still was very inconsistent with my ballstriking. It's a shorter course, so I teed off with my five-wood (my go-to club) on several holes without punishing myself, and that helped my score.

I play 9-holes right before dark with my mom and dad once or twice a week. I've holed two shots from the fairway my last 18 holes!!! 1st 9, 1st hole, sand wedge from 105. 2nd 9, 3rd hole, 125, pitching wedge. Unbelieveable!!!

Beat: no birdies either 9, gotta go work on the putting, maybe belly?

Some improvement - I shot 45+45=90. Would have broken 90 for the first time if not for a quadruple bogey on 5 (a hole I usually play well).

Played for the first time in 4 years yesterday. Shot a 113, was never a huge golfer either. I had some mad crazy chips and approach shots. It was my driving (I only used a 3 wood cause I'm sooooo terrible with a driver) and putting that was atrocious.

NOOOOOOOO! I hate belly putters! They really should be outlawed.

91 at a course where I should have shot much better. Golf gods punished me for my "I'm putting well but do I need a new putter?" thread by smiting my short game. I did make a lot of good putts, but I also had a lot of trouble leaving long putts short and had a bunch of 3-putts--the greens were much longer/slower than anything I'd played recently and I did not adjust well.

I did leave on a fairly good note with my only birdie on number 17 with a drive down the middle, a wedge to about 25 feet, and then nailed the hard-breaking putt for the bird.

My main troubles were getting off the tee accurately, just couldn't keep my driver or 3-wood in the fairway consistently.

Played in the "Pro-Scratch" yesterday @ Angel Park...my partner & I shot 70 (par 71), but we were four under going into the last four holes when we completely [censored] the bed.

Seven shots out of the lead going into today...but in the top 20 teams (out of 60), so if we play well today we should hit the money.

Beat...it's raining...nothing like a 95 degree day when the course is soaked.
